Love your both reactions and arguments of this song, so many statements and debates to talk about the messages in this song. Thank you!

This song and the new album "Will of The People" is purposely stated what you all debated about. Protesting, beating systems and willing to fight for the Will of The People. Such a great album!

Such a weird song to get introduced to Muse! First of all, it's not by all means one of their best, and second, it's kind of a Monty Python-like parody of themselves, so it's hard to get it if you don't know Muse. They debuted in 1999 and they've always talked about standing up for yourself and fighting against corruption. This song is basically them reacting to 2020 and saying "welp, it's too late now, there's nothing we can do about this mess" in a comedic way.

Yes exactly this !

This is an awesome way to approach the interpretation of Muse, specifically. Their (or at least Matt, the lyricist) relationship with god has always come into play in their lyrics. You could go through their discography and have an absolute field day with it.

What relationship to God? Matt is an agnostic.

I really love your reactions, they are so positive and emotional. If you want to try something new, listen to Slaughter to Prevail (Especially I like songs: 1984 and Viking)😅 but be prepared for extremely hard music!

I really enjoyed your reaction but I think you read too much into it. How much/what did you guys smoke before recording? Also, I disagree with some of your comments. True all evil men eventually go, but some must be forced to go. For example AH was forced out by an event known as WW2.

We are old guys....we read between the lines of things. We just know that music is written for a purpose and there is a lot behind the lyrics. The lyrics are just poem sentences that are on a broad scale. There is a lot of meaning in between that the writer cannot put into words. But, you can see some of the meaning in their emotion while singing. I saw a lot of anger in this one. You are so right. He wants a revolution....forced change. I love these guys. I love this music. We may be a little off in our analysis, but it speaks to every one differently. That is what the writer intended to happen. A strike from all angles.
