21:07 To answer your question, Chugga - yes, Rump Command is based on the adrenal glands of the body, which are located just on top of your kidneys. It’s not QUITE in the butt, but close enough for the writers to make the joke. Edit - Apparently the Mario Wiki states that Rump Command is in Bowser’s tail. So all I can say is that Bowser must have the weirdest anatomy ever.
@infinityheart_tm9270Күн бұрын
You could also just call it a literal ass pull.
@NejoveКүн бұрын
Was that really intentional? The adrenals and kidneys are really not all that close to the butt. They're closer to the lower back (and, in fact, that's where people tend to feel pain that originates in their kidneys). The adrenals ARE indeed where adrenaline comes from, though.

In answer to the "what's this based on?": Adrenaline is produced in the adrenal glands, which are on top of the kidneys. Placing it in the butt probably happened because the anatomically correct position (midback, just below the ribs) was already taken by other stuff. As for calling it "rump command", well, the kidneys are part of the urinary system, which deals with bodily waste. The back end tends to be less sexualized, and is thus safter to talk about in a game intended for children. So, effectively the Bros are traveling up the urinary tract to reach the kidneys and the adrenal glands atop them, in order to power up Bowser's adrenaline levels enough for him to shrug off the castle falling on him, much the way a mom can suddenly pick up a car to free her kid, in our world. Er, sorry for the random geek-out into medical stuff. it's... sort of a special interest? And you did ask...
@elijahpadilla5083Күн бұрын
Worth noting, in turtles and tortoises, the adrenal glands are EVEN LOWER, pretty damned close to the tail, in fact.

And now for one of the best battles of the first section. The moment itself is scary. Like you just finished fixing up Bowser’s stomach, and after the Banzai Bill is launched, the castle COMES TOWARDS BOWSER AND KILLS HIM! His own home, takes his life. And then the giant battle happens, which is amazing, and it’s one of my favorite battle themes in this game. What helps the mood is that everyone in Dimble Wood is surprised much like the player is. Mind you, this battle with the castle is all before you have even entered it at all, so it makes you wonder what the hell is going on in there (helps that it’s my favorite area, and we’ll get to why eventually)! Side note: Challenge Medal Durmite is *brutal*. Bowser: Well, I ate a giant carrot, punched a Wiggler in the face, got an awful stomachache, the pain moved to my arm, but it allowed me to punch while moving, so that's cool. Then I went to shoot a Banzai Bill at my castle, only for it fly away and crush me. Next thing I know I grow to the size of the castle and punch it's lights out. So, overall, ... I feel great! Starlow: That's good to hear, I guess. Bowser: Man, this really is a day of highs and lows, but that's not going to stop me from getting my castle back! Goomther: That's right, Lord Bowser. We're with you to the very end. Bowser: That's the spirit. Chippy, write this down! Starlow: You got it. Starlow's Log Day 10: Today has been a wild day, more than it normally is. First, helped Bowser pull a carrot out of the ground and helped him digest it. Then had to fight off a Wiggler and Leaf Guys that were inhaled. After that, Bowser got a stomachache from a Durmite, so we had to take it out, only for us to be chased down by white blood cells. This did lead us to finding Toadbert down here and gave Bowser a new ability to use, thankfully. Once we fired the Banzai Bill, however, Bowser's Castle flew over to him and he was crushed. Mario and Luigi had to jump start his adrenaline to bring him back to life, but in addition, made him huge. After fighting off his own castle, he returned to normal size. This has certainly been an insane day for both Bowser and the bros. Starlow: Done. Bowser: Nice. To path forward to my castle shouldn't be much farther. That hunk of bacon thinks he can take me out that easily, well think again! Now then, forward march! Goomther: Yes sir! Goomba squad, move out! Bowser: The king's coming home!

As for inspiration, I think it might be very loosely based on the River Styx from Greek mythology, but it's very surface level comparisons like Bowser being on the verge of death, along with the river and the boat.

(+2) - Total HP Remaining after Sea Pipe Statue: 96 x 50 = 4800 pts. - After Big Scutlet: 76 x 50 = 3800 pts. - After Broggy: 25 x 50 = 1250 pts. - After Wiggler: 205 x 50 = 10,250 pts. - After Durmite: 61 x 50 = 3050 pts. - After Bowser Castle: ~90% x 100 = 9000 pts. *Minigames* Arm Center 1: 5600 pts. Arm Center 2: 12,000 pts. Arm Center 3: 36,230 pts. (For the rhythm version, each individual strike is worth 10 instead of 100. This minigame's much higher score also gave me a new standard for minigame scoring.) Gut Check: 24,060 pts. The Rump Command's scoring system goes like this: normal red and green adrenaline is worth 100 points, spiky red and green adrenaline is worth 200, blue adrenaline is worth 1000, and the big adrenaline at the end is worth 5000. Perfectly cleared adrenaline patterns where all the adrenaline is hit award 500 points each. Finally, any leftover hearts award a bonus 5000 points each. With all this said, Chuggaa's score for this minigame was 22,400 points. *Footnotes* 4:48 I was going to count each time these things showed up as one separate 3-enemy battle. This is because if this happens more than three times, the point chain system I'm using would break because NSMB's point chain system only scores the first seven enemies. Thankfully, these things only showed up once. 11:47 I counted five boulders here. 13:47 No, Chuggaa! You are not doing what I think you're doing! 14:11 Oh, thank goodness... 15:27 Trashures can run away, so I cannot count this as any completed battle. *This Episode's Score:* 74,720 pts. *Total Score So Far:* 566,240 pts. (I can't believe we're past half a million already!)

I would agree with you if it weren’t for the horrible gyro controls that Dream Team’s giant battles have. 0:26 people not wanting other people on their property is not a thing that's restricted to the boonies. When going to school in Covington, which is suburban town, there was this house with not one, not two, but seven bright red "no trespassing" signs. And then sometimes you see those signs that threaten bodily harm and death. "Trespassers will be shot and i have good aim" or something like that.

If it wasn't for Durmite being the source of Bowser's intense pain, I would've said perhaps there's good reason for his dislike of vegetables. He probably eats them so little that they give him a bad stomachache from not being used to them. But that IS one of the worst feelings, being out and about and having the WORST urge to use the bathroom when you're not near one... Still, he gets the Banzai Bill he was after AND gets access to a new sliding punch ability, by boogity! And then we get the introduction to the giant battles, where Bowser actually gets to unleash his inner Godzilla and fight humongous foes...like his own castle. Well, it DID crush him, so fair's fair, lol And for the problems that the remake of Bowser's Inside Story has, from what I've seen of the giant boss battles, I can at least give it props for making them much more dynamic and climactic, especially with the endings to them.

@The_Nicktendo_NerdКүн бұрын
21:07 I don't know if this perfectly answers your question, but I think the Rump Command is inspired by the Buddhist concept of the Earth Chakra aka the Root or Mudahara Chakra. The Earth Chakra is associated with the physical body and life energy of each individual and also their survival instincts and fight-or-flight response. This chakra is supposedly located in the base of the spine (which could mean Bowser's tail in this case) which is a region that is very close to the butt. This would also explain the Evoglobins and their attained transcendence and spirituality by residing close to one of Bowser's spiritual focus points. In this situation, Bowser's life energy is in mortal peril, and activating his adrenaline in the Earth chakra give Bowser the hysterical strength needed to fight off a foe much larger than himself (like how we can sometimes have hysterical strength if we're placed in life-or-death situations and get an adrenaline rush). The interesting part about this concept of the Earth chakra (earth meaning the ground or dirt) is that there is overlap with how tortoises are often associated with the earth in East Asian mythologies. Perhaps Bowser, as a tortoise, is so highly in touch with his Earth Chakra that his survival instinct allows him to grow to enormous proportions through adrenaline?

Now if only we had gotten one for Bowser, because I wish we could fight all his bosses again.😞 Also, while playing as Bowser, if you inhale enemies while the Mario Bros are at places like the Nerve Cluster, Trash Pit, and Pump Works, you will fight those inhaled enemies in thise exact areas. It's always been a very fun detail.
