The value of the Ora is the same as the rand. So 1 Ora equals to 1 rand. You can trade it back to rand anytime. ( As long it is still valid) It is more of a safety precaution. It is not meant to replace the rand. A new series comes out every three years.

Just like how you allow AA, BEE and cadre employment. Do some homework - this was a small piece of land in the middle of nowhere that they bought long ago. It's a private piece of land just like how a gated estate works except they expanded over time. Don't break down what other people have because you don't know how to create your own. I salute them for creating a healthy environment for their children. I'm not white, nor do I have a desire to go live there, but you have to give credit where it's due. Do you know they don't employ any black people to do any of their work..? This shows that they are a self sustaining community.
