We are in the dark ages of NBA jersey design

While we have gotten more NBA jerseys than ever in the last five years, they have unfortunately become more forgettable than ever. A combination of horrible designs, constant jersey turnover, and not knowing when to stick with a good idea means that this era's jersey design is going to be extremely forgettable.

So true. There’s just wayyy too many uniforms. They need a home, away, and an alternate or throwback. Teams don’t even have color schemes anymore. If they’re going to get new alternates every year, there will be a ton of bad ones and the good ones will just be abandoned. Even if you’re team comes out with a really nice new uniform, you’re not gonna want to buy it because it will be replaced within a year.

If only it was like a sunRISE theme, and a well done one at that. That’s about the only example I can see for them fitting, but otherwise, team colors being their own colors is important

Nike is going the soccer route with the NBA’s city jerseys except in soccer, teams get completely new sets of jerseys every year

The Celtics 20-21 "earned jerseys" at 2:21 are straight fire. Every once in a while they knock one out of the park. The NBA should really open it up for submissions from designers and fans then have fans vote online.

I like some of the new jersey designs. On the light blue issue, they're all for different reasons. Clippers are the San Diego colors, Bulls for the Chicago flag, Hawks are old Hawks jerseys from a different era, Nets were fan-favorite alts from the Drazen Petrovic era, Heat for Miami Vice, etc. and they weren't even all in the same year. It seems like a crazy nitpick. It feels like half of the NBA is red and black, so why isn't that a problem for you? I'm not even defending the new Nike jerseys either, but I think we're losing the plot and ranting just to rant. (The rest of the points are still mostly valid.)
