These folks have so much energy. Pearl got out and hiked down and up the road!

Well Thank You for your kind comment. We are in our mid 70s and know our energy levels will slowly start declining and we won't feel like getting out and doing these type of adventures too much longer so we are trying to build as many memories as we can before that time comes. Glad you enjoyed the video

We didn't think about camping out like you two. We did day trips with lunch in the desert 🏜. Was enjoyable.

Like I say when I'm camping nothing says you're roughing it like a ice cold ice cream bar😅

Thanks Steve, I was a little hesitant to share some of that but it made for a much more entertaining video and we are really enjoying the adventure. Although, I may be enjoying it just a little bit more that Pearl, so I try to keep the ice cream nice and cold for her. 🙂

Bob, Bob, Bob ... (shaking my head). Love the video, think twice, talk it over then make your move. You'll be surprised at what a stock jeep will do if you have clearance. We'll look you guys up again when we get back out there if not sooner. @r & r adventures Ron & rickie

Hi Ron, we look forward to seeing you two again, we made some mistakes on this run but you will be impressed with our run up the Red Cloud Falls. We went back and tried it again and it went so smoothly we both completely enjoyed that run. Amazing how much easier it gets after every trip, and doing a trip with someone that knows what they are doing will be so helpful for us. Take Care

Hi Bob and Pearl. Now that is roughing it out in the middle of the desert eating ice cream. May be we should spell and call the desert like this for you guys...dessert. LOL So going out in the dessert for you guys. It's good you have a white Jeep, the pin stripping shows less. Bob how did the Jeep start climbing without you in it. LOL
@JustPassingThru9 ай бұрын
That ice cream sure hit the spot for sure. Don, the jeep has a button called CRAWL or "Off Road Cruise Control" and you can set it for 1/2 mph up to about 5mph and you can only use it in 4Wheel Drive LOW. It will then add gas or brake to keep you crawling along at the set speed. I had it set for 1/2 mph to creep over that rock and through the rock damn. When I bumped into the big rock I assumed it could not crawl over that rock without my applying additional gas but I was certainly wrong on that assumption. That little bitch just up and crawled right over and I learned a great lesson..... I love that button now that I have seen what it can do and it crawled all the way through those big boulders in Red Cloud Falls without any help other than Pearl up in front direction me where to steer through. It is so much fun, you would love a whole lot more than that 3 wheel bike you rode at quartzsite. LOL
@CowboyBikerAdventures9 ай бұрын
@@JustPassingThru Bob, now I understand. That is a neat feature. Like you I would not think it would go over that rock. I bet I would like it better than the trike. LOL Have fun.

Holy Crap ..... That is a bit scary. Good Job. My wife and I did the same thing up around Bull Head City. Our jeep was lifted with bigger tires.

Hi Terry, we’re really enjoying learning about this jeeping adventure. I didn’t think we would do it but we’re adding the Mopar lift this weekend and 35” tires are on the list. Too much fun if there is such a thing.

“We’ve never done this, but we’ve seen it on You Tube” is the modern day equivalent of “ Here, hold my beer”. If you have to adjust the trail or use a spotter to feel safe, you shouldn’t be out alone. Keep in mind that parts break Last year, we had to tow our trail leader 5 miles and it was just a dirt road. Did I say that you should go with another vehicle? Those buzzards are circling for a reason.
@JustPassingThru9 ай бұрын
LOL, no doubt that is some good advise Ted

Spent many years exploring the Arizona desert in a JEEP never had ice cream with me I’m jealous. I realize video does not show how steep it really is, but that jeep is capable of much much more. I suggest you get with a jeep club for experience on what your rig is capable of accomplish and what you comfort zone would be watching other people pic their way through the obstacles great video Thanks for sharing. 👊👍😎
@JustPassingThru9 ай бұрын
Great suggestion, we did join the local jeep club and went on a ride with them but it had too many jeeps along to actual learn much, we're looking forward to meeting more of the folks individually and going on smaller rides to actual learn and experience the adventure. No Doubt, I am the weak link with the jeep, but we plan to ramp up the learning curve since at our age, we will most likely run out of adventure energy over the next couple years. LOL Building Memories is what we're doing now...

Hi Dave, I know you enjoy riding your motorbike around some of these locations and we are are taking from your game plan with the Jeep and exploring some of these less traveled roads. We will be in Bend the last week of May, if your up there by then we will have to hook up.(we are skipping Tahoe as we are leaving Yuma so late in the season)

Okay but don't get Pearl mad at me 😂 Tahoe is still on my schedule but weather might upset that plan, I don't reach Bend until first week of June if you guys are still there, otherwise never know what could happen 😁

Love your Rig Bob and Pearl, I thought you two did a great job for beginners and being cautious is the way to go to gain confidence. A 2in lift and 35in tires with bead locks would be nice but I think you can still drive safe on trails that are not too bad. Stay safe and enjoy the fresh outdoors!!!

@JustPassingThru9 ай бұрын
Thanks for your input Robert, I assumed some folks would have the same feelings but for me, I am very much enjoying the excitement of seeing what is around the next curve. This takes a whole new skill set that we do not currently have but hope to learn enough to keep Pearl and I safe and build some new memories before all of my Adventure Energy is gone due to simply growing old. I think the beep/beep will calm down as we gain experience but Tinker will always be upset when she gets left in the car and we are outside. Thanks for watching and sorry it wasn't exactly your cup of tea this time.
