This episode contains grave digging, close calls, excavation work, and even some "planting".
The video starts off with Daddy Cornstar and Nave digging a grave. Once the grave was dug, I started digging out more trees with the excavator. While I was busy digging away, DC and Cooper tested the planters.

I don't think a lot of people realize how important woman have become to our farms. I made sure our daughter could run every piece of equipment on our farm by the time she was 14. I bet Nava will do the same before long. Great job Nava!

Cole and Nava are such a cute couple and I hope there will be a proposal then a wedding in upcoming posts. I think it would be perfect if they got the yard at the old house looking really nice and either had the wedding or reception there so they could tell their grandchildren that they had it at what was at one time Coles grandfather's home. Knowing all the generations that have and will be in that house is just wonderful. Best of luck to all of you and thank you for all your hard work farming so that we can eat.

I maintain and dig graves in a newer and an older cemetery and oh boy is it a fun time... it gets awfully tight between headstones and every grave puts up a challenge.

When I worked at my church's cemetery we made a tool called "the device". It was a jig we used to measure the size of the hole. Basically made of copper pipe frame that was the dimensions of the hole we had to dig. It was a huge help!

We have a grid that we use in the cemeteries I maintain that is made of small square tubing. 40 inches wide and 8 ft long! Has a brace down the center long ways. We even made a grid for cremains and infants. Handy tool!

I dig in 3 cemeteries that are larger and pretty easy to get into and about 10 that are smaller. The smaller ones are a challenge to work in and not do damage. I really like my Bobcat mini excavator for that. Keep up the good work Cornstars!

Daddy cornstar, thanks for explaining what those "out-rigger" looking things do and how to use them. I suspected something like that, just didn't understand their function when your tractor has auto-steer. I guess it is handy to use if you need to double check to see if the auto-steer is working correctly.

Lol Lil Sis Nave, you doing good! You can only get better! We've had corn in the ground here in NC for about three weeks now, but the weather has been drastically up and down! Sorta scary cuz we get temps in the mid 40s at night, and then some days reach 80s! In fact the grass has died in some places! We've been having alot of windy days too, which slows us down from spraying nitrogen, sulfur, and bicep over the corn we've planted before it comes up! I'm praying the weather will level out for all us farmers!

Radios in tractors, combines and work trucks and handhelds for each worker means you can warn someone they are about to run off the edge of the world. You could make them operate with headphones/hearing protection too.
