I bought the dvd when I was stationed in Italy (I had a VW Corrado G60 while I was there), and that part was my favorite part of it. Always liked these cars , even going back to the 90’s they were so underrated. Fave colour too !!!! Word of warning with the ‘ race car’ conversion. If you are making it into a proper race car it needs a floor mounted bias pedal box or at least a rear bias valve , otherwise you will be facing the wrong way when under heavy breaking!!! And possibly getting intimate with the Armco . Go fuel injection with a swirl pot . Make sure there’s an extra fire extinguisher for the engine bay . Engine will probably overheat and break . so will the gearbox so add some extra water and oil cooling . NEW FUEL LINES !!!!!!! New front to rear radiator pipes , not the rusty ones still in it. Best get at least 2 sets of rims Other than that it should be fine . I really really want one 😂👍🇬🇧

Great the car has History, speed... questionable. But Ultimas ARE capable of doing 200mph+. As long as the engine gets a decent makeover. OR a new engine. Can't wait to see more, the car is stunning. Love it!!!

KMPH for sure! Nitron are the absolute dogs danglies, wish I had of gone with them over my quantum’s a worthy upgrade. Just be sure to follow it up with a proper set up with corner balancing, weigh etc When it comes to the brakes though, I understand sponsorship requirements but I may have tried for a pad only package, nothing wrong with those original calipers, a quick rebuild and as you say you could have reused good parts you already have. I’m sure AP could have supplied new bells and rotors and still keep the EBC pads for sponsorship purposes .

Ben "The Stig" Collins, needs to setup the car. A KZbin crossover video between the two of you MUST happen. We need to see it being built, tuned, upgraded and put back together on both channels and then driven by Ben in his classic white driver overalls and helmet. Knowing what he's capable of doing with it and it's performance, that video is going to blow up the channel. Also, what's Jimmy Broadbent doing? Oh and BTW, as people have already pointed out, that video clip was definitely NOT doing 191mph! You can knock off 100mph at least, not to mention that if it was true, he'd have been sent a speeding ticket and got points on his licence

That video has to be bollox - it’s on a dual carriageway and one of the vehicles he overtakes is a caravan - so that’s doing about 60mph - he doesn’t go past it anywhere near fast enough to be doing 191mph.

EBC have always been the top recommended, I got their Pro-Lite discs for my GSXR streetfighter, forget which pads i got, its a pile of parts in schedule for a next year build.

Your rear caliper is leading as it's in front of the axle. So if the front caliper is behind the axle then it's trailing, not leading at front of car and trailing at rear.

I would check using the proposed brake pads if track/race based compound, as they may be terrible on the road when cold which would be 90% of the time

AP racing calipers had pads in it when you were comparing weight. AP racing are probably better but I suspect EBC gave you those calipers so you are biased.

A test mule is hardly the same thing as a prototype. They tested the drivetrain in an Ultima. That was a test mule, pretty cool but an Ultima without the BMW/McLaren drivetrain is just an Ultima. A F1 prototype would be more like an F1 tub with or without the BMW/McLaren drivetrain to test the chassis, suspension, aerodynamics or some other system. But a car without any McLaren prototype parts is neither a test mule or a prototype. For example, a Lola T6 is just a Lola T6 even though the Ford GT40 chassis was derived from the Lola T6. There are or were probably a few Lola T6s that were GT40 test mules and GT40 prototypes but they had to be associated with the program to be anything beside a T6. Your Ultima does look pretty good in that livery. I like it but at most it's an homage to a test mule. Kind of weird, still pretty cool but calling it a McLaren F1 prototype is just not right. Be better than that.

I'm unsure about the speeds in the video that was shown. I don't think it would "rattle" as much as you might think. The Ultima has gone through extreme testing at high speeds from the factory. Check it out.

That was a hard watch, to much prattling on, agree with the masses wheels should of stayed original when refurbished would make the car pop even more,but it’s your car, 190mph that Speedo was never accurate when Rog had it 😂 your see for yourself when you drive it, also what happened to doing the corroded coolant flow and return lines front to back that were hanging on for dear life?
