The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at TU Delft develops and uses fundamental knowledge to design tools that give people new possibilities. To make life better, healthier and more sustainable. We do this from a deep-rooted desire to understand our environment. Determined to find out the underlying mechanisms. We translate the knowledge and insights we gain from this into solutions for large and small social issues, in the fields of Health, Transport & Mobility, Energy and High Tech Systems & Materials.

Engineering is all about applying what has been discovered much before our time and making it profitable for a cooperation. Well actually you are becoming a tool of cooperations to create products that increase shareholder revenue. If you think you'd be able to explore new scientific theories, go for physics, chemestry, biology or medicine. Mechanics, therodynamics and controls have been very well established.
