In the 1930's men were men. Their struggles are incomprehensible to today's "soft society".

We’re certainly not in a depression yet. But we will be. I believe this is inevitable and likely to happen much sooner than people would believe. Then I will make two points. One is that when the economic depression occurs, because of all of the things you’ve mentioned, it’s going to be exponentially worse. Because of the state of our culture in 2024 the outcome of an economic depression now is going to make the Great Depression look like, a vacation to the beach. My second point is that it might not even take the actual complete economic claps to create disaster and chaos. Peoples fear and panic could cause the collapse and chaos that actually triggers complete economic disaster. It’s important to remember that you may be perfectly reasonable, rational to think of how many people are not. Look how people act on Black Friday. Look how people act when their team loses a game or sometimes when their team wins a game. Perception of reality is just as dangerous as reality itself. The person you mentionedat the checkout, of course, was just whining and complaining. But think of what all can go wrong the minute they act on their perception of the situation, even if it really isn’t a depression yet.
