@SwissHumanity...> Almost half a decade ago... distinctly remembered you were building / renovating other peoples houses for one lone reason: To share unto others the blessings He have bestowed upon you ! ! ! ... Being, you were the first PH blogger subscribed to. Have not imparted to you the appreciations you deserved... Now... years later, _'am take this opportunity to "Thank You- David, for not missing those opportunities of sharing the kindness and generosities that hence, He showered unto those people (such as you)... Who with pure heart and intentions are doing God's (humanitarian) work !.. So, once again "Thank You, David of Swisshumanity❣ 👍. . . 🙏😇🙏. . .👍

One problem is quality of concrete. This is mixed on site and if too much water is used the strength is reduced. This affects the footer and beams and columns but also affects the strength of blocks which are made offsite. The temperature makes it hard to mix to proper standard because the concrete can harden too quickly. I don't know the answer for this but architect will probably have experience. You may google and learn how Filipino architects advise. Contractors are going to advise what is easiest for them. I would experiment with a mutual supporting double wall on an appropriately wide footer. I would run electrical in that void and fill it with sand. That'll insulate teal well if the space between walls is a foot but the beaver guy says a german man didn't infill his double walls and it insulated good anyway. Then u gotta insulate atop the ceiling. And windows ? I don't know how well the reflective films work but overhangs or other things that can shade sunlight would help. Note that I'm talking about an air conditioned house. Insulating to make a/c affordable. Some of this can reduce air flow so it might make a no a/c house hotter.

Shay, if you search and watch foreigner's building their homes there, you will learn a lot. Even if their house is bigger, you can still learn the right way to do things.

That's awesome Shay 👏. Building a good home for your parents. One of my traumas is poverty that's why I dream big.Bless you Shay and nd your family 🙏. My tip throw or burn all those things that are no use. Apply minimalist tell your parents because if we have many things to keep we need many " lalagyan" or cabinets or containers.

Thanks for the update. Tearing down the old house must be bittersweet. Regardless of how battered it had become. It closes a chapter.

Hi Shay. This is the first time I have seen your videos. You seem like a genuine and thoughtful person. I wish you good luck with your parents new build. I am a builder and find it interesting how buildings come together in other countries. I am assuming you don't need any building permits from the local authorities or maybe something minimal? Or maybe that depends on the location. Anyway I would be interested in learning more about your progress.
