At the time, there was a famine in Africa and people were starving to death . . . this song raised money for food, medicine, etc. I remember at the time, hearing how amazingly well it all went - that "everyone checked their ego at the door" when they entered that room. A beautiful moment in time, for sure.

All the people in it has sung before. Dan Akroyd was with Beluschi as the blues brothers. You stated you saw actors. Some do both but they all have sung and put out a record. Bette Midler Harry Belefonti etcc they all had albums out but starred in movies.
