Hearing things in the woods might seem scary, but trust me hearing absolutely nothing in the woods is a lot scarier Because if you hear nothing that means whatever's around is scaring everything
@spookmagooked30175 ай бұрын
Yes, I was a city kid my whole life but moved into the sticks (not very deep though) about 7 years ago. This time of year at night I hear what sounds like literally a million frogs surrounding us, singing their songs, otherwise we'll hear crickets, owls hooting, etc. In any case there's always a lovely natural orchestra every evening. Occasionally, it'll suddenly go dead silent- not a single frog, cricket or owl can be heard. Based on our local wildlife this most likely means a deer or coyote is on the property, but it is eerie nonetheless to suddenly hear THAT much noise completely and totally die out to the point that you can hear that single twig snap...

As someone who lives in the woods in Finnland. I have heard this many times, and it usually doesn't concern me too much, but one thing really does. When it goes dead silent, like all the birds and frogs and everything, just shut up to the point you can hear your own breathing. It means there is something close by that all the animals are scared of. I was just chilling on our lawn on a chair once when everything went silent, i started looking to the forest, and after a couple of seconds, i saw a bear appear to the side of the forest, stand there for like a minute, then it baby came out, they stood there for like 2 minutes, or thats how it felt like, im pretty sure they were looking at me. Then they disappeared to the forest and i have never seen them again. And seeing bears is extremely rare, my great grandfather is 90 years old and has lived in the forest all his life, his a lumberjack and has been taking care of his forest for 70 years, but he has only seen a bear 2 times in his life, both from far away and for way shorter time than me

@@Burning_Babylon sound does travel a long way.... sounds of whales in a certain depths range do travel longer then 4000 kilometres..... Sadly that people though doesn't do much research themselves... The reason of your bullshit statement bothers me even more is that you think i needed 'medication' and thus haven't taken any.... the hostility of some people here is off the charts... those people needs some 'anger management' or simply doing research on their own which is depicted as science you mind found out a thing or two how things work..... Hopefully i have lecture you enough by now....
