Kids are so witty, creative, and spontaneous! It’s always fun to listen to their perspective :)

Glad to see it have a second life. From all the garbage that we make, toys I feel the most, since the usefulness isn't finished most of the times, yet an unknown kid somewhere has no toys to play with. If we ever recycled toys, just by sharing and repairing, I think we would make more kids live those extremely important years in happiness. Plus that bear floating on that river and getting rescued is a poetic way of what we are into. Polluted waters with useful stuff, for the sake of our short lived amusement and subsequent boredom. I think someone just threw it, sadly

I adore that you brought Clang on to be your mascot. I can imagine you could likely find a great many items people would find use for, stuffed animals, perhaps some items that haven't broken down yet, some of that plastic must still be in good working form, like a waste basket or something, then any toys, sports equipment. Might bring up some great examples at the headquarters. You could display them. So grateful to all the hardwork you are all doing.

Go to the children in Guatemala who live in the city on the river you collect plastic on. Show them your videos. Ask THEM how they feel about that. Ask them how things should be better.

And bring them some food. So that they have the strength to think about these things in addition to surviving.

The Ocean Cleanup is a Dutch non profit organization; Mr Van der Kooij must have Dutch roots aswell. Might want to teach the kids where The Netherlands, where the Dutch live, is located on the world map as most Americans don’t seem to know that!

I love this channel please take this as a mascot, its a beautiful thing to remember everyone how incredible is your work. The most sad to hear about it is that the minds of the people on places like Jakarta and Guatemala are like that, a person do not need more something/plastic so we are going to put on the river because its normal for them, the river is a common trash, the people that live near to the river probably puts all on there. This is HORRYBLE, thats the most sad. We dont need more it, so put on the river. Why???? Why no one is talking about it its so problematic, someone need to explain to that people thats not OKAY.

This is so weird... "talking with the children"... like they actually care or have a clue. Why not grow some balls and talk to the next generation of politicians? Students? The people that do care, want to make a change, and are old enough to fully comprehend and start making a plan ready for their turn? It feels like a cop out on your part Barney.
