Good video. Didn't realized that you shouldn't eat unopened cooked shellfish; surprised the kitchen sent it out like that. In my opinion, seafood has a delicate taste and tomato sauces smother it. I learned my lesson years ago when I ordered a seafood dish with pasta and tomato sauce in San Diego, CA. Take care.

I don’t care what they said about their “medium” Medium is is universally warm, pink center. Mussels / I’ve had the mussels at Carrabbas several times. I complained about the closed mussels and the manager said all their mussels are pasteurized. However that doesn’t resolve the closed shells issue and how to open them. In Vegas for locals I still like the Bootlegger best.

If I were ordered Linguine Pescatore, it came like that I got dead mussels and overcooked shrimp.would advise the manager, have them offer something else or take it off the bill.

I often go there and get the calamari with the garlic aioli, superb combo! Pair that with a bowl (huge serving) of Mama's Sicilian chicken soup and you've got a very delicious and filling meal. No need for a main course if you eat both of those :)

I will say approximately 15 years ago. Carrabba‘s was the place to go, but over the years the food has gotten I don’t want to say horrible but not that great. I gave Carrabba‘s overall from a 1 to 10 about a six today. I don’t even bother going I don’t think it’s worth the money at all, I used to love the bread at Carrabba‘s and I don’t even think they have that anymore. They give you a fraction of what they used to. It’s really went downhill. I totally agree 100% with both of your assessments. Don’t know if I’d go up in the seven or eight categorybut I agree wholeheartedly anyway❤

You know I love you both, this was a cool review. Look, I was like NO WAY until they redeemed themselves with the cake. It's hard to believe they trotted that first steak out to you like that! Honest, what these chain restaurants won't try to pass off as "good" is ridiculous. The second steak looked so much better, somebody in that kitchen was lazy with the first one. It all seemed overpriced to me. Catherine's entre seemed pretty bad, the app looked like the best thing you had, the app and the pizza. I'm totally cool with the pizza at 15.99, that looked really good and it seemed that you enjoyed it more than anything. $17 for the app, yea, wow, I don't know. Between the two of you the bill was around $130 with tip? Wow, what you had simply didn't seem worth what you paid. A trip to Denny's would have been better! Honest, a steak at IHOP, or Cracker Barrel would have been better. AWESOME REVIEW. Keep rockin it Derek and Catherine.

You should have tried the Lentil and Sausage Soup. It's usually not on the menu, but it's available all the time there ! It's "Fantastic" !

Sadly that most of the Carrabba's Italian Girll restaurants have been shut down in most states, I live in North New Jersey area and the closes Carrabba's restaurants which was in Secaucus, NJ got shut down now there's only one Carrabba's Italian Grill in New Jersey which it not close!

my visit to Carrabba's was basically i mirror image of yours. my steak was ordered medium,and it arrived D.O.A.....Dead on arrival. like eating leather.i will say they at least served a cold soft drink. that's the most positive thing i can say about this 3rd rate chain.

They used to serve minestrone soup - no idea why they cut it. That is a better pairing then a 'chicken soup' at an Italian restaurant. Also their best dish was seafood stuffed shells which was discontinued as being too ' labor intensive'. I did love the seafood pescatore ( which was for a time also taken off the menu). After the pandemic with the higher prices and less options the Carrabas in my area was one of many that closed. It had been very popular. The staff you have clearly was inexperienced. Carrabas slipped after Bloomin Onion brand bought them

You spent a lot of money for the entire meal. Catherine’s plate should have been sent back. Who wants to pay for tough mealy shrimp and 3 mussels you can’t eat. The entire meal didn’t look great. I have never been there, but looking at your meal…I don’t think I would go. Love your videos! 😊

Good review. I have been to Carrabba's and am not a big fan. You should go to Joes Prime Steak and stone crab in Caesars Forum Shops. Get a steak there, the Filet or bone in Ribeye. Be sure to order the Carb Bisque soup, Lyonaise Potatoes and Lobster Mac and Cheese. Finish off with Key Lime Pie and Bananas Cream Pie. I highly suggest you get a steamed King Crab Leg also, even though they are really expensive. The Joes mustard sauce goes really well with it even though the crab by itself is fantastic.

Thanks for the review. Seemed like a somewhat disappointing meal which I am not surprised. The Linguine Pescatore has been one of my favorite entrees at Carrabba’s for the longest time. But the last time I had it, the seafood portion was reduced and the pasta portion increased. I too have encountered that unopened mussels issue with this entree. I am not surprised they messed up the first steak either. Many of these chain restaurants are a hit or miss. Some days it’s a good meal, most days it is not.

wow Derek, you ate so many zucchinni appetizer~! good cheese pull on the mozz app. Also, I could see that the mussels were open on the seafood dish. Also, I think if there are closed mussels in the dish you shouldn't eat any of the rest of the dish. Also, the cake looked really nice. I just watched a video where someone made the Ricardo sauce that comes with the calamari. I think you need to go back and try the calamari with Ricardo sauce. You can make some Desi and Lucy jokes!

Overall, the pizza looked the best. Pasta so so and the steak was definitely overcooked. Steak the second time was more medium than medium rare so that means you have to order your steak one down to get what you want.

All of the Carabbas closed here on Long Island in New York. It used to be my favorite place to eat but they are nowhere around here anymore. They all closed down. It used to be the best of everything. But they seem to have gone down hill the past couple of years. My favorite is the chicken trio, the chicken Brian, and the fettuccine Alfredo. They started getting really sloppy with their service and cleanliness. Last time we went they didn’t bring us any silverware for the longest time. I had to ask 3 times. Then someone came and started throwing and banging the silverware at each plate. It’s a shame. I would have to go to another state now to go to Carabbas.

I am bummed that you had a bad experience. Carrabba's is one of my favorite chain restaurants but I have never had the entrees you had. My favorite thing is the chicken marsala. It's so darn good. The chicken soup I've had at other locations generally has a kick. (Florida and KY) It seems your sever is a bit of a jerk because that first steak was definitely "well" done.

I never heard of a restaurant claiming that the temperature is differently cooked from what the industry standard is. Sounds like a pure excuse. You don't order a steak and get a pork shop because that's what the restaurant would call it.

I most definitely would've sent the seafood pasta back as soon as I noticed the clams unopened. They could have contaminated the whole dish and made her sick. Plus, it is unacceptable for any dining establishment to put their own spin on an industry standard such as the cooking temp of a steak. You went there expecting the normal med with the warm pink center, and they sent out an almost well done. On top of that, it looked like they let a dog chew on it before cooking it. The cook and the expediter both should be 86'd pronto for allowing both dishes to go out like that. Shame on them.

I think you need to send the steak back and ask for Medium as the prices are high and you should not have to pay for a meal that doesn't please you. Glad you sent it back. The steak didn't look grilled properly like a steakhouse. Catherine's shrimp is overdone as well, they should have grilled it and put ontop of the pasta, same as the scallops. hmmm, they should have done better for you guys. Prices nowadays, plus tax, plus 20% tip can sure add up to a lot. Glad you reviewed this restaurant. I think I will skip it.

My favorite at Carrabbas is Pollo Rosa Maria it is delecious, I've never had what ya'll ate,, for a steak I'd rather go to a steak restaurant, that dessert looked delicious, in all fairness I couldn't judge the restaurant as a whole since I've never tried anything else, Olive Garden is one of my favorites I've tried a variety of dishes and have been happy with them all❤
