Hi, I adore your brave approach with trying this out at winter. Despite giving up still I wouldn't say it was a bad result since you had no other experiences to compare. Also, considering day is way shorter in winter(which could also be reason why the estimation was off, not only the terrain is more challenging but simply it's less time if you don't go at night) I'd say you made a good job and the video is pleasant to watch. It seems geniune and checks the ability for fast decisions, it even put me in question what I would do in such scenarios as you had on this path.

Thanks for such a detailed feedback! We saw in Latvia that we were able to easily walk 20km in 6 hours but snow and cold really slowed us down there. We almost didn't make a video out of this attempt but in the end decided otherwise.

Mayhem and insanity 😁The ice crawling was intense as heck (and also hilarious 🤣) Seriously though it was a really good idea you had a rope with you to pull stuff (and Tom 😃) over the river. -11 is pretty serious, but at least you had sun not the usual Finno-Ugric doom and gloom 😛I hope you both remained healthy. All in all a success in my eyes for having a crazy-ass adventure and new (and also certainly useful experience) 💪
@TOM-ITI9 күн бұрын
Yes, that ice crossing was intense but fun and the rope came in clutch. We had a hot bath later that day and fortunately didn't catch a cold. We actually almost didn't make a video out of this one.😅 But glad to know people still enjoyed it! 😊

What a great idea to define a line random by shooting an arrow! Winter makes the mission at least 3 times more difficult by the looks of it. Nevertheless, this was a great attempt, and I've enjoyed watching. Maybe pick up the line in a couple of months.

very nice to see what winter is like in Estonia, here its like extended autumn. Have you ever considered making winter camping videos because it doesn't look like hiking in winter is very enjoyable haha. Im surprised to see any unfrozen water at all , if other days have been -6 and you hiked in -11, water should have cooled enough to freeze within hours. Greetings from Latvia.
@agevalgepea787312 күн бұрын
Running water takes more time to freeze, especially when the current is quicker.
@top1gaming47212 күн бұрын
Hi from Finland, winter does seem like autumn here too, we barely get under -20 at all. From my experience running water doesn't really freeze until it gets cold, but it only needs to freeze once then it stays frozen until it becomes warm enough again to melt.
@TOM-ITI11 күн бұрын
Well, now the snow has mostly melted and it's around 0 degrees again 😅 And in that particular ditch the water was flowing so it takes longer to freeze.

@TOM-ITI13 күн бұрын
