As someone born with bilateral severely clubbed feet, I think everyone with clubbed feet and everyone else needing orthopedic custom inserts and shoes (and all disabled, amputee, etc people) should have a 3D printer to be able to prototype ideas and print corrective shoes, sandals and inserts with almost zero cost. Do you know of a printer, material and design combo you could recommend for this (ideally with a grinder to recycle materials back into filament)? Thx

26 bones in 1 feet (more then 1/4 of body s total bones in just the feet alone), not to mention the intricate network of tendons and ligaments. the natural evolution of feet to support our body weight, stride and sprints has been phenomenal. And still we have fallen into the trap of protecting our feet (instead weakening the ankles, messing up the arch and hibernating the ligaments). would you start doing the same for your hands and wear gloves to protect the palms from wear/tear tomorrow?
