the big banter is the perfect "all rounder" knife, ticks all the boxes for what i look for in an everyday carry that can have long use and hard use and still be fine edit: i like the finger choil combined with sharpening choil, it may look weird, but its just what you need for a easy sharpen and utilitarian knife i also love how your issues with it are so minor that its not even an issue, its just a personal preference, ben went for a 95th percentile design, fits most people, but there will always be outliers that its not for

I hate finger choils on folding knives over 8 inches. Completely and utterly ruins the point of carrying a bigger knife, THE BIGGER CUTTING EDGE! Absolutely ridiculous. Hate choils. Nobody needs more handle and less cutting edge on a folding knife at this size.

Yeah I zero'd in on that sharpening choil ,really needed to leave that w/o would have been great- I wish the blade was more like a large version of the Baby Banter big old leaf blade would have been interesting...thanks for all your observations luv ur channel 👍👍

its a 95th percentile knife, its designed to fit with the needs for most people, so your not the target audience for it, whereas i love this design, the only complaints i ever heard about this knife was from borderline knife snobs, yes the choil isnt for everyone, but the fact remains that it was added from customer feedback ben got from his other two knives, so people wanted it

I really like the standard Banter and carry it often. The big banter definitely appeals to me, but, I’m so in love with my PM2 in S45VN, I can’t see this taking its place as my EDC.

Ben dropped the ball on this design. The cutting length is so close to regular banter. I'll hold out for a bigger bladed banter, if that ever comes.

If "tons and tons of people" requested an original banter with a bigger finger choil, so be it. If I was a betting man, I'd wager they end up on secondary with seller saying "I tried it but couldn't get used to the blade, going back to regular banter with same blade length". Regardless of all 👆👆, it's not hurting sales for me, I'm not sweating it. I DO appreciate my right to voice an opinion and I did exactly that, don't get triggered sweetheart.

I don't think I ever used a knife and said if only it was an 1/16 to 3/16 inch longer it would cut better. lol I could see if it was going to really add length to the cutting edge, but that really wouldn't. It would make it worthless to have a choil for the people with real sausage fingers if you shortened it any.

I'm really digging the big banter. That's actually pretty affordable for WE. I just popped for the Condor Aqualore at $97 w discount at $89 or so. So, $117 w discount isn't much more. I enjoy LTKs 'Banter' 😂 LTKs knife Banter is my all time favorite! Coffee ☕ and LTK.

There out if stock. At white mountain. Have to wait for restock. I like micarta scales fat g10 would be ok accept they want more for that scale. With prices going up and a economy like we have right now people cant afford for these knives to go up and up . I would love to see this knife have more but if the price gets to high like some knives we know have priced there knife out of the running.i can see prices going up as you add a better steel but everything else shouldnt go up because of scales but they do. Like spyderco cant give you g10 unless you pay more but ganzo can give me g10 not frn plastic for 15 or 20 dollars. Great video brother 👍

I don't understand. It screams poor design when you have a finger choil and a separate sharpening choil for no reason. Why not combine them like on the baby banter? It makes absolutely no sense to make an XL version of the banter but essentially givening it the exact same cutting edge length as the non XL version.

because in feedback from customers, they asked for both choils, ben even confirms that its what people wanted

@@kevinmorrice when and where was this feedback requested? As far as I know Ben just submits a design draft and WE cleans it up a bit, checks everything is feasible, makes a prototype or 2 then if everything is golden it goes into production.

i was excited when i saw a big banter was in the works and then when i saw the finger choil i tossed out any idea of owning one. i wanted the banter just bigger. not this full sized baby banter. it is probably a fine knife functionally but to me the "big banter" still just doesn't exist.
