At one point they described Lincoln's assassination as instant death, but Lincoln actually survived for about a day after he was shot. Granted he probably wasn't entirely conscious and was probably in excruciating pain.

He did survive but I can't expect that he felt much. The damage form basically contained to the brain, which doesn't have pain receptors (One of the reasons why they can do brain surgery without anaesthesia). I can bet he was uncomfortable, but excruciating pain? Not so sure

I feel like some people mistake cloning as resurrection. To me, cloning is what it is. It's taking the genes of someone and recycling them into a body with identical properties. It's the twins that were lost to time and depending on their lifestyle, they will can live different lives from the original. The clone can also be seen similar to a grandkid that looks an awful lot like their grandparents with the same name but in no way are the same and if so, share similarities but still have their individuality. So no, Abraham Lincoln's clone does not remember his death as gruesome as it wasn't his death to begin with 😅

It's funny how Ponce De Leon was basically a straight up reference to Fonzie from the tv series Happy Days (the one from the 70s). Black boots, leather jacket with white t-shirt, the hairstyle and sideburns, the nickname (Ponce de Leon became Poncie the same way Arthur H. Fonzarelli became Fonzie). That legit isn’t what happened. Abraham Lincoln argued that slavery was morally wrong for years before he ran for President. When he won the presidency, several Southern States immediately seceded from the Union in fear that he would try using his newfound power to regulate or abolish slavery. After they did this, he issued the Emancipation Proclamation, which freed all slaves in the rebel states (Slavery then only existed in Kentucky and West Virginia, which had fragmented off of Virginia when Virginia joined the Confederacy). Later, the 13th Amendment would ban all Slavery within the United States, largely due to Lincoln’s efforts in rallying the Union against the Confederacy.
