"Never what made him special to her" is probably better in a different story. I don't think it was that much of a point that enhancements made you special. Quite the opposite. Enhancements and immunosuppressants are symbols for addiction, enhancements being emptiness. The world down on Earth, had to be adapted to with technological advancements. Addiction and suffering are only more prevalent. The moon has no such setting though, and the only way Lucy and David would change their quality of life. They were different. David probably wanted more augmentation to be more capable and protective. Lucy, being colder, never caught on. They were meant to be together, but the idea got of the way of them being together.

So in case you werent aware, Cyberpunk was originally a TTRPG kinda like DnD. Adam showing up generally meant you were going to lose some party members. His stat block was just this insanely tough monster that even at high levels you really really werent meant to fight. Ironically dudes got a pretty low intelligence score but everything else about him was terrifying. This portrayal is a lot closer to that than 2077s was

Not exactly dude. Even the game explains it better. Cyberpunk and the show Altered Carbon explore the exact same idea of immortality by transferring your consciousness into a disk or shard (both interact with the brain). In cyberpunk's case, a shard interacts with what it "believes" is a dead person and uses that body to deploy the consciousness inside the shard. The reason why Silverhand appears as such in the game is because it is fighting the host's body over control hence 2 personalities being able to interact with one another. David is dead and isn't a construct because unlike Johnny silverhand, he got offed before getting his consciousness uploaded to a shard.
