BKXC goods ship worldwide! shop.bkxc.bike
It was an ambitious plan. Take on Downieville's Tower to Town route that would be 27 miles of riding and at least 3,000 feet of climbing. We'd be rewarded with 7,000 feet of descending and epic bragging rights.

Been up to the lookout and it’s super cool. We were camping down by the lakes and decided to drop down from where you were looking down to the first lake for a swim. Hiking it btw after riding the day before on my Merlin XLM hardtail - back in early 2000’s. Think I pinch flatted 3 or 4 times. Amazing part is Forest Service had to pack all the materials in to build the lookout!

Itd be SUPER dope if on screen was velocity and a gyroscope to see your center of gravity. I think those two things would show the talent of the ride, and just be super cool so see how much you're leaning into turns or bouncing over rocks. Your phone can definitely do velocity and be easy to put into graphic for video, and probably record COG but idk about data visualization for cool KZbin purpose.

Its probably your crown to stantion joint creaking, factory 36 are notorious for it, mine did it. You can get "wicking" locktite to fix it without doing anything other than taking the fork off the bike. There are a few how tos out there. It doesnt always work but its worth a try.

Lovin' the new way of adding additional infos to your videos, keep 'em comin'! And regarding those annoying creaks, have you thought of your top cap bolt? It might need a bit of grease. It might also be from your cables hitting each others or maybe your chainring moving ever so slightly under load. I cured mine by adding some kind of retaining compound as per Park Tool's suggestion in one of their videos. Cheers!

Man...that place just looks spectacular every time I see it on camera! Another great video! That creak could be anything, but I agree that it sounds like it is coming from the front. I've been fooled MANY times by that though. But...I would start by taking apart the headset and greasing the crap out of it, and make sure that any spacers you have between the stem and headset are CLEAN as a whistle. Any grit in there and you'll have a creak as well. I am aware of an issue with the Ripmo that I won't post here, but if that doesn't solve the creak, there's a more sinister possibility related to the head tube that I can share with you. I'm assuming you have probably tried all the fixes by the time this video has come out, and hopefully you have it corrected. If not...let me know.
