thats such bs i’m sorry they said that to you! i got told something similar when i was in freshmen year of college a prof told me i’ll never be a designer without a steadier hand (which is silly, they were just supposed to be rough sketches of a bigger project but at the time it really upset me). i’m a full time graphic designer now and realize he was being a douche. as long as you can work with what works for you, you’ll do great !
