We bought a Catalina 34! So we've been browsing the listings for some time and this boat just popped up and we couldn't resist going to sea trial her. Well, we went and checked it out and this is our story of what happened.

What Hull number? My family owned Hull 193 for over a decade, and she was forgiving at all points of wind, and handled most sea states with grace (except for following seas). Typical Frank Butler design makes marvelous use of every square inch belowdecks. Smooth sailing to you guys!

Hey congratulations on making a great choice. I'm 63 and have been sailing for over 50 yrs on a A LOT of different boats out here on the west coast. I owned a Newport 27 which was great little boat. Recently I have been chartering whilst getting business organized so I can get back out there. I chartered a Catalina 36 and a 34 as well as a C&c 38. The Catalina 34 had the walk through transom and an oversized wheel. Great handling boat perfect for single handling. I think I've settled on my next boat - now just have to find the right one. Nice video.

Congrats, great boat. Funny, we had a Catalina 27 that was previously named Catalina wine mixer. We renamed it Serendipity. We sold that a couple of years ago and just got sci I to a C22 since marina slips have a 10 year waiting period where we just moved to so trailer sailers we are yet again. Imagine waking up to the endless drone of jet skis in the morning! The Virginia key basin is beautiful but party boats and dozen's of jet skis with people who drink, throw trash all over and blaring club music ruin it for anyone else.
