Congratulations! Looks like a great house. We bought one that was heavy on paneling as well. We had to brighten up the kitchen/dining area so painted the paneling a light yellow and added more recessed lights. It made a world of difference. (We don't use our fireplaces either but have discussed inserting a wood stove in the lower one in case of major power failure.

From someone who used to live in a country house with the EXACT same wooden wall panels, you REALLY REALLY need to watch for any bowing on the walls, if it starts to bow you need yo take it off asap and check whats going on behind it... moisture trapping and/or termites... unfortunately these are alot of maintenance...

Sam is the type of person that if he was a soldier in a war, he would feel bad and cross enemy lines to give his opponent more ammo if he ran out. Then would ask him in a truly caring way " Will that be enough? I do have more clips....wait here just take this extra clip and gun I have. " Monica is the type that is she was in a soldier in a war and fighting behind enemy lines would pop her head up and ask the enemy " Wait one second please. Is that okay? Just one minute? I love these guys don't get me wrong, I feel nothing but joy for them and how they are living their life, really, 100%! They are one of the sweetest couples in the internet ! However, I am very curious about the following: is it youtube that allow youtubers to afford buying a property (let alone 2!) in their late 20s?! In Germany it's absolutely impossible for anyone in their 20s (or even 30s or 40s!!) to afford buying real estate unless your family is super rich and I don't think this is the case for Monica or Sam, so is youtube that profitable? I have an extremely cute boyfriend and I'm ok myself, maybe I should give youtube a go 😆

I wondered the same! And I live in America! I think Sam and Monica have multiple income streams. KZbin is just one of their incomes. They seem like a very enterprising couple. Also, Florida is relatively affordable (I say relatively because the housing market is crazy). At least compared to California or NY.

The USA bank system is different from ours in Germany, USA rewards risk taking, ours is if there is any risk you wont get it. Their income from youtube and other socials is huge i assume, at least way more than a youtuber similiar size in germany would make. Also taxes in florida are "non existent" compared to Germany. There is prob more reasons but this is what came to mind instantly.

@@fernando_k4 Thanks for that excellent explanation! That sounds spot on to me. Based on Sam and Monica’s credit scores and finances, they likely did get a good loan with a decent interest rate. Most home purchases in the US are with a mortgage, anywhere from 5 to 30 years depending on the amount. So yes, risk is definitely encouraged.
