You did one-heck-of-a job on your truck. I would never have attempted such a project. But it all finally came together and you have a vehicle that will last you for a long time. Kudos!

When you were looking at the container spec, I saw a label that said “Core-Ten”. Which is great news. This steel, when it rusts, creates a “hard” rust, protecting the metal underneath it. So you don’t clean the rust off.

The Kubota is a much-needed piece of equipment. So glad to see you bought it! AND, a storage container! YIPPEE! 👏💪👊👍❤️️❤️️❤️️

Set up solar panels for your lights in the container it is so easy and it works great.

Yup. $10-20 at Walmart. I have 2 with motion sensors. Work perfect. I get 365 days of sunshine.

I did dive research on how these containers are built. If you're impressed by the container, you'll love the way they're built.

Normally I would have said - Build a shed to store things, but with the price of lumber this might be the better avenue.
@Woodbrew2 жыл бұрын
Gosh, it was going to cost 12k to build a shed🫠 We’ve wanted to get a shipping container for so long now, so this made it easier!

Nice job on the cleanup Dylan & Molly and nice shipping container put to of those together and you would have a really nice size shop :) Thanks for sharing the video with us!👍💖😎JP

So happy I just found y'alls channel and subscribed right away. We have 10 acres and need to know more about that rake. Yes, I know it's expensive, but we live in the Hill Country of Texas, so there's lots of rocks we need to clean up. (not sure if that's exactly what we need as of yet), but we definitely need something to clean these rocks up.. So yeah, not sure what the best piece of equipment to put on the tractor for that. I know today was your first day using it, but please keep me updated on that. I'll be watching all your videos. Thanks so much and I look forward to watching the journey you both have ahead.

Nice! That's a better price than I would have expected. We bought 2 in October of 2020, they were $3,250 each. They were described as cargo worthy, but were in pretty rough shape, but they do the job, and have worked out great for us. We put a roof between them for shade and to mount our solar panel rack on. 😎🏜️

Looking forward to seeing all of the upgrades and modification you two do to it. Quite the move up from the resin shed y'all did in that video for Home Depot. One thing to keep in mind, if you're not already aware, is that the stacking weight limit is for other containers placed on top correctly so the weight is distributed correctly down the sides. Some people have ended up collapsing the top of their container because they thought they could stack weight just anywhere on top.

Thanks! Yes we do know that! 🤗

We have purchased those at work for our equipment storage and they usually are cost effective. We installed lights and shelving in our but I'm sure with your talents it will look perty darn good when it's finished. That rake should be a huge benefit to you on that large property

They are so useful and can be turned into literally anything!!

Nice option and probably cheaper than building a shed with these lumber prices

Nice!! Build and install some shelves before the place is filled and you can't get to the back of it!! Trust me!! DD
@MarkH102 жыл бұрын
This one can be the base unit of an 8 high stack, when all are fully loaded.On the back wall build a shelf 4 feet deep and half the height . You will soon see that the waste of space occurs up, so try to find ways to build shelves or hang stuff to use the upper half of the units cubic space. when cars are shipped in them they are often hung from above to gains cubic efficiency.
@Woodbrew2 жыл бұрын
Big shelves is what I like to hear! We’ve already been hanging stuff, so whatever we do will probably be a mixture!
@MarkH102 жыл бұрын
The first structural mod you will find so extremely useful is a double side door. What ever width you decide on, make it 25% wider than necessary. much wider than the end doors.
@Woodbrew2 жыл бұрын
Planning on putting a roll up door on the front and a few, maybe, walk in doors on the side!

Will you be painting the outside of the container?

I had the same question! Matching the house? What about a rock path to it as well?
@Woodbrew2 жыл бұрын
Nah we like the gigantic logo on the side! 🤣 Jk, yes we will be painting it! Most likely white because at the moment it’s hotter than outside. We plan to put some kind of A/C in it soon too!

Probably won’t paint the inside but for sure the outside! And yes to all the rest!

I wonder if you are able to paint the exterior of the shipping container? If yes, would you go for forest green colour to blend it in the landscape?
@Woodbrew2 жыл бұрын
Going for white to match the house for now! Might wrap the container with wood later on to make it not look sooo container like🤣
@alsanova2 жыл бұрын
@@Woodbrew Don't you think white will stick out more? 🤔😀 I like the idea of wrapping with wood 🙂

Awesome stuff Y'all, the truck looks amazing! 😍👍🏻👍🏻👊🏻👊🏻 .... Any plans yet for lighting/power inside the container? Solar generator? 🤔
@Woodbrew2 жыл бұрын
For sure want to run power and maybe some solar lights! Haven’t gotten too incredibly far into that yet!
@RevIlikai2 жыл бұрын
@@Woodbrew If you run power from the house out there, you have to bring the ground wire out too. You also cannot drive a ground rod out there and ground the body of the container, separately. Its against the NEC and will cause wire damage.
