When i was a kid we had a canister set similar to those that just sat on the counter that we had sugar, flour,, rice, etc in. Years ago people use to cook from scratch when i was a kid so anything that came in a bag got dumped in a canister so it was right there next to the stove on the cupboard already.

The back packs might have been bought by a school. In our school system they have back pack buddies. The kids that may not have food over the weekend get to pick up a back pack on Friday filled with goodies and meals. They bring the back pack on Mondays to be filled again.

The backpacks would be great for donations! I know were I live we have a school drive every year and a couple other programs so backpacks are great for that. I’m pretty sure there’s something for foster care kids as well.

that is how we got our backpacks we sold in the store. come in a big case like that then we put them on the shelf individually for sale. end of the season we would just dump any of our unopened case lots on the overstock pallets that went to the liquidation company to sell off
