We bought an abandoned HOTEL in Elvas, Portugal....we need your help!

Wow A LOT of work!!! Boutique Hotel? Short term rentals per room? Special events rental for large groups/ families that can accommodate a destination wedding? Anniversary? Retirement party? Indoor mini mall of tourist shops and special eateries? A museum? A digital nomad workspace? The possibilities are endless! Good find and happy it will be passed onto good hands who appreciate the historic value!

Wow, so many beautiful details. It is a shame that so many buildings in Portugal have been allowed to decay. Good of you to have bought this one and give it the care it needs and deserves. It can become a really lovely building again.

Love every bit of this. A lot of work to go but that is most of the fun! A boutique hotel seems the natural idea but the right idea will reveal itself with time. Can’t wait to see the process

Such a great building with so much potential .. I would create something outside the box... Something that brings together the old and new , something that caters to the region of elvas , but with a modern city vibe... The sky is the limit.. Congrats guys

Good luck with your investment! It is important to know more about the surrounding area what other attractions there. It may require some study to understand the level of interest from the local tourist and tourist from outside. I will certainly visit your new place when It is ready. Keep us informed. You guys are so brave!

Definitely! We considered all of this as we frequent in Elvas for clients. Elvas is one of Portugal’s most historic places and its proximity to Spain made it even more appealing.

Use the ground and first floor as AirBnB and convert the top floor into a self-contained unit. Recycle the capital by selling the Penthouse. Infinity pool only if you intend moving into the Penthouse.

It was a hotel and then it was acquired by a family. Believe it or not, just one family lived there for years. They decided to move and the property stayed abandoned for decades.
