Wonderful content with a beautiful automobile. Guys just want to share a small thought.. it’s a 97’ Crown that is why it has an inbuilt two 12watt sockets... meaning it was manufactured in an era were mobile phones were present and was in huge demand. And with the status by which it drew customers to it were definitely Corporates, Business owners & Heads of State so obviously they were all well equipped and advanced with tech & gadgets. Hence Toyota had placed many well engineered and functional tech & features in their premium & luxury lineup.

Guys this is Toyota Crown Royal Lunch or Royal Saloon. I was experienced CROWN - ROYAL LUNCH 1970s version around 15 years back. Car was imported to some of the Indian King. Wheel base is similar as your vehicle only difference is frontage of vehicle, that was fully chrome grills with impregnated as Crown in bottom part also independent dual head lamps.. It was a fabulous car with extreme luxury also had with driving computer (small LCD screen with memory for storing the riding route hints) at that time and couple of individual switches for instruments and auxilaries. Also that car having separate ear shape knob for engine starting situated over the steering column cover assembly. Toyota is the only name for durability and simplicity of technologies.. Hats off the engineers who was involve with CROWNs platform...

Can you do an episode on the Mini Crown / Corolla 1.4 d4d. There are many reviews online for the 1.8 petrol but the 1.4 diesel is so underrated, despite being a manageable and comfortable full size sedan.

Amazing find! Loving the great content on the channel 👍🏽 and looking forward to more of it.. The seats remind me of the Toyota Century’s wool seats. Apparently a better choice than leather because they won’t make squeaky noises (too uncouth for Japanese culture!) while passengers sit or move about, plus due to wool’s natural moisture wicking and heat insulation properties, which are great for summers and winters respectively.
