Well we never ended up selling the Cemani eggs.. when these chickens grew to maturity, some of the birds had some Red traits. So apparently they were not top quality. Definitely not selling quality. I guess you get what you pay for ! 😀👍🤣🤣😜

Excited to see another family raising these wonderful birds. I'm hoping to start my own flock this year. They're fascinating and, the $500 price point you found is actually quite reasonable for the breed. I've seen them go for MUCH higher.

Their growth is more in summer months because they require day light to grow. In India its called kadaknath means very hardy in local language. Its meat is very low in fat and high protein and iron. Tney are black due to genetic reasons of hyperpigmentation. Its meat is known to help diabetics and cause virility. It is an endangered chicken species. Governments around the world are trying to promote its rearing because it is a very expensive chicken

Cemani Chicken came from the tropical region. Indonesia. Soo if these chicken have not good looking condition, maybe it has something to do with the condition. Maybe u should place them in some place that warm. Not too cold.

I just have to get a bunch of more episodes finished. And yes the deer head, I do need to show that. It worked excellent. It's a way to keep the origin of th product in the name, it doesn't matter if it is the same word twice if most people won't understand one of them. It's not uncommon for unique and rare products as the country of origin dictates the name then other languages add their twists

I hope you find the right crowd that want them mostly aisan community except they wont pay the price if would be better to breed a couple of true breeds. Here in MN i bought Ayam Cemani two years ago. Small group of people to sell to. I still have a group 8 breeders. However i started a different breed that is almost as profitable but has a much bigger group to sell to. so i would say more profitable in the end. Wish you the best in 2019.
