Buy a good quality tool, you’ll cry once, but the pleasure of using a nice tool will soften the blow and you’ll do better work and not be replacing them as often. Even if you broke that $575 down to the use you’ll get for one year, that’s like saying it was $48 a month, $2.17 for an average of 22 work days in that month, and like $0.54 an hour if you sat in it for 4 hours each of those 22 days. 🤣 Great value for comfort! Hi Vince. I really enjoyed the video and enjoy videos where you assemble or build things. That being said, I have to wonder if you wouldn’t be better served by an ergonomic office chair. These can be even more costly and lack the rugged masculinity of a shop chair but your uses for this chair appear to be more in-line with office work. I could be wrong but I believe a Herman Miller (or similar) chair would be more supportive and offer equivalent longevity. Many Herman Millers last 20+ years and have long warranties. Steelcase is another great brand. You can save lots of money buying through a distributor. They are even more costly than this shop chair but they also have significantly better lumbar support. They also have better seat support and have arms and leg adjustments. Some even recline with neck and leg extensions. These are popular with folks in the content creation and programming world that sit for 6-8+ hours a day. Food for thought.

@@VCGConstruction No but i have a regular shop stool and it has no wheel locks too, i wish it did because when i am working on heavy items i find that sometime the stool will move away from what im working on if i put a good lateral force to the object especially when tightening a nut on the object even though i have my feet on the floor of my workshop. On these project i just put down a mat but it is a hassle, Wheel locks would help stop the free rolling stool from moving without a mat

@@VCGConstruction You can get a good shop stool for around $100. Of course this one is better and beefed up, so tack on another hundred or so for better quality material. Still only puts you at $200-$250. Still no where near the price of $549.99, which is equivalent to a full sized recliner. Not saying its a bad chair, just in my opinion it seems very expensive for a stool.

Give me a name of your favorite $100 shop stool. I’m not disagreeing, but I looked at a lot of shop stools all the ones in the $100 or under seem like trash! Or give me your favorite in the $200-$250 range. Which ones do you own? I need counterpoints to the chair in this video!
@411Adidas3 жыл бұрын
@@VCGConstruction You are very much correct, a lot of them are not good. Plus its hard to mash up a good quality office chair with a shorter more durable mechanic style stool. I dont know of every chair out there for sale, but I would guess the one you purchased is probably the best and closest you will ever get to that combination. Its just the price point thats deterring. I use a drafting chair with flip up arms and an adjustable creeper. So I won't be of much help finding a comparable competitor. Didn't Mack come out with some crazy creeper/chair thing a few years back for assembly line workers? I think it was called human hoist. I bet that thing costs an arm and a leg for sure.
