Had a 72 triple black back in the day but was only a 318 auto. 68 -70 Chargers have always been one of my top Mopars. A Hemi 4 speed is icing!

Yes, I'd love to win it. What should you do with it ? Upgrade the suspension(QA1), brakes, wheels/tires. Then, as far as the engine, keep the 426, but add MSD ignition and Holley Sniper EFI. Oh, and please do videos of the entire process on this car. The 68-70 Charger is my all time favorite car.

The engine sound alone is worth $100000 You can't get that sound from a modern car. They said that the price was a little high and that's their opinion, but. Like I said, the engine sound alone. And the body is immaculate with that pistol grip. This is the holy Grail if you ask me.

My first car was a 1970, but it had a 318. My dad bought it for me for 500 dollars on my 16th birthday (1986). The engine originally, according to the codes, had been a 383. It had the vinyl top and was a 727 automatic. Burnt orange. Miss that car very much. Who was to think they would be as sought after today! Have a great day.

I originally wanted a 68 or 69 SS Camaro but could not find one back then in 1982 and ended up magically getting this 69 RT through my mom's friend who's husband was selling it cheap... they were divorcing and he sold it to me for $5,000. I had worked at my mom's property management company for 2 1/2 years plus a little money from my dad and that's how I got that car. One of my favorite memories is when my younger brother got to drive it for his driver's license test... it was a hilarious moment when I told him to rev the engine right when I saw the guy for the test come walking out the door! Started his driving history with a black mark from day one... heh, heh, heh! So many great memories in that car! 🏁

My brother rattle can sprayed it when I was away on vacation for a couple weeks, and we left it like that until my 2nd year in college, when the project just didn't make sense to keep working on it... wish I had that one, too! This car came with an automatic transmission definitely worthy of slapstick by silversport to set it apart from all the 5 & 6 speeds it's an rt/SE so it came with some added luxuries the slapstick will ask no apologies nor will it ask permission it'll give it its own distinctive perspective & personality if it was just an rt I wouldn't say this but an rt/ SE so please consider it

XH model didn’t have taillight panel trim, it came with 69 trimmed lights. XP(premium) either had the arrow or a 500 for the 70 500. XS was the R/T and had the R/T door scoops, and the rear trim panel. All 1970 R/T’s only came with a 440 or a 426 HEMI, also woodgrain dash trim.

I would recommend using Firm Feel for upgrading the suspension and steering box with fast ratio steering to keep it stock to include the rear anti sway bar from Firm Feel. Keep the hemi and see what the internals are.. upgrade to hydraulic roller cam if it doesn't have it already. You could do EFI if you want it more turn key. Upgrade the transmission to a 6 speed like you did with the 68. Keep everything else the same but restored perfect.

I am a diehard Mopar fan, and I love the old hemi cars of any sort. Next to the iconic Hemicuda, I would say a Hemi Charger is my next Holy Grail Mopar. And a true TX9 R/T S/E 4-speed just put it another notch up. That being said, It is not a factory Hemi car. And given the reliabilty issues of trying to keep that old style Hemi purring. I would opt for someting more modern, easy to gets parts, easy to maintain, last longer with least amount of effort and be able to drive everyday if I wanted to, with minimal effort. All while not sacrificing power or reliabilty. So...ditch the old Hemi(Forgive me Mother Hemi) and replace with modern Hemi and a six speed. And cruise all day everyday with confidence and a smile

You said it was a 727 Torqueflite but the pic showed a piston grip shifter, your pics don't seem to show a brake booster although the guy that decoded said it was power brakes. Did y'all catch the frontend? the camber is definitely off 😉....yeah baby Mopar or No car. sounds GOOD. SWEEPSTAKES no leave the original, upgrade suspension and brakes, then it's ready for FUNTIME. You can improe on the legend but KEEP the legendary parts like the original Hemi and 4-speed. And YES I want to win it.

We didn't clarify in the video until near the end but it did come from the factory as a 727 auto, but now has the A833 4 speed manual which was probably swapped when the HEMI was installed. It did come from the factory with power brakes, but are now manual brakes probably since the HEMI swap as well. The previous owner likely had to ditch the stock booster to accommodate the HEMI's valve covers.

Hey I have a FANTASTIC IDEA, about this car for you guys! Why don’t you put the radio in the glove box like the Cuda? I mean…..having it in the most inconvenient place imaginable where it’s going to be the biggest pain in the ass to turn on or turn off, or connect your phone too sounds like an amazing idea! While your at it, since all these cars interiors are SO PERFECT when you buy them, don’t bother putting any kind of drink holder in them guaranteeing that long rides or trips in them are as unenjoyable as possible. I mean you thought it was SO COOL on the Cuda, just do it to all of them! Oh, I almost forgot the windows that you have to roll up or down individually from each door. Yes, yes I know……they are power windows, and having them like that gives that feel of an old car but with power windows….but I mean you are building them better than new so why not go all out! Make them all as inconvenient as possible. Really give us an incentive not to want to drive them further than around the block.

It’s not really original except for look. I would say if I had the money maintain the look but upgrade undercarriage suspension make the motor a Beast and go totally black even the bumpers! I’d give both arms to win but that would be no good wouldn’t be able to drive it. Haha man you guys know exactly how to make it great and fast. You guy’s are called Restomods follow suit and make this a BadAss Restomod put a EFI conversion on it upgrade the brakes headers I’d like to see a 5speed in it and put a complete QA1 bolt on coil over level 2 system on with the K-Member get rid of the factory K-member and torsion bar system it sucks! And Get rid of that stock steering wheel get rid of the factory seats TMI seats would fit the bill upgrade the accessorie drive pulley system and also that cooling system.

@ I realize that. That’s basically an upgrade of factory options,with factory type parts. Im more referring to 4 wheel disks,fuel injection,wagon wheels,QA1 suspension etc. Use a plain base model for that stuff and fly at it,not the rare stuff.

Great question! We believe this Charger may have come from the factory with A/C as the switches look OEM and there's an old "Airtemp - Air Conditioning by Chrysler" sticker on the passenger rear quarter window.
