You may think you are crazy, strapping five engines together, but in WW2 Chrysler built the A57 Multibank tank engine, made from five inline-6 engines combined into one package. It was used operationally in the Sherman tank.

I don't know about the first radial engines but generally speaking a radial engine have one camshaft for all the cylinders

If you want steering for the tank, put one of the standard clutches on either side and set up a differential and set the activation buttons to your steering. That's how I figured out how to do steering.

I think you could use shenanigans, and get 36 way symmetry by placing 4 of the 9 way adapters, one each attached to a frame from the top, left, right, and bottom, and then using the 36 evenly spaced faces to create mounting points for 35 evenly spaced cylinders. With more effort, you could even use a 5 way adapter to create 5 evenly spaced mounting points to get five of the 9 way adapters for 45 pistons on a single crank. If you were really careful and used math, you could possibly go further, but it probably wouldn't be worth it.

The differential is trying to balance both side's RPM which is why it's very difficult to turn. Turn the setting to zero and you should be good.

I suppose the too forceful deceleration could be solved by lowering the Braking Torque on the clutch to a very low value. Then you could use the "steering keys" to actually brake (i.e. turn into both directions at the same time).

5:53 Today on "kAN kneecaps his engines": Trying to put well over 50kNm of torque through a centrifugal clutch that he reset to 5kNm. If I understand correctly, then it's not a nonsense number but determines how much torque the centrifugal clutch can pass, doesn't it?

Correction spent too much time with WW2 German Engineers they stuck 2 bf109g engines together and put them in a bomber without changing them to assure proper cooling so it was a disaster of engine fire

The centrifugal clutch is where you lose kost of the torque of the engine. You should use a normal clutch or a sliding gear
