Very accurate description, I sold a VW UP In immaculate condition, they found it very hard to fault only one little chip on the leading door edge so marked it down £30, other than that I was happy. I did try advertising privately but surprisingly I didn’t get any interest. The process is simple, at the end of the day as you said they are running a business and need to make a profit. If you want top price then you can have tyre kickers wasting your time and also open to potential scammers if you’re not careful.

We buy any car , if they get a good car under a certain age and mileage it goes straight to cinch and older ones go to the auction, ….. we buy any car , BCA, and cinch are the same company well same company director , …. So they sell the good ones through cinch , and put the older ones into auction , without having to pay auction fee’s …. Quite good unless your a small time car sales man, as they are cutting them out ……. Seen it on a guys channel called tyre kickers , which use to be called flipping cars for profit . Cheers 👍

I guess WBAC are saying that if you turn up to buy a car with more cash (after selling to them, thereby without giving the garage the hassle of part exchanging (sending a car to auction etc)) you might do better. It's all swings and roundabouts though because the garage will give you the book price for your old car whereas WBAC will not give you the price they advertise on their website as they take out their 'admin' fees etc.

That makes sense regarding the engine vs bodywork on older cars. I once bought a 12 year old Polo which had broken its cambelt and destroyed the engine, but the bodywork was very straight and the paint was good. I bought a second hand engine for £125, dropped it in, and sold the car for £700 profit. If it had had bodywork damage I wouldn't have gone near it.
@bellagio10664 жыл бұрын
Sounds good. I always worry about cambelts going. My current car is 14 years old but apparently has a timing chain rather than a belt. My turbo went last year though and that was a painful £1200 for a refurbished one to be fitted.
@Scrubworks4 жыл бұрын
@@bellagio1066 Chains do last a lot longer, but the trade-off is they're often much more of a pain the arse to change than belts, so the labour is more. Check the service interval for the chain and compare that to the mileage, but at 14 years old it'd be a good move to change it anyway, unless you have pretty low mileage and regular oil changes (the oil lubricates the chain).

Obviously it’s worth more privately, why would a business buy a car from you with no possibility of making money? They sell at auction, so they buy it from you at 4k sell it to traders at auction for 4500. Then the traders make all the money at the forecourt sale to joe public. I took my 21 reg Peugeot 2008 gt auto to them today after a valuation of £23,000. It is a mint car so I assumed I would get that less the £75 fee. He actually got down on his knees trying to find stone chips on the lower front round the fog lights. He actually couldn't find anything, then, voila, he said you have a chip on the rear wing. Seriously it was the size of a pinhead. Then he said I had a scuff on the bumper moulding. I literally couldn't see it. Anyway he went to his computer and came out with a figure of £22,629. I laughed and said no thanks. The upshot was I informed Peugeot that my new car may have to wait and I explained why. They gave me £23,000 on the trade in. These people, in my opinion, are rogues. This man makes fake content and incorrect statements throughout all his videos - in this he basically complains about admin fees which are not exclusive to WBAC. Secondly nothing is included in the content about choice , convenience, making and paying for your own advert. Why would he test drive the car ? BCA own WBAC - all cars go straight to auction without any repairs at all. Traders don’t test drive auction cars and are responsible for repairs if they wish to retail the car. If you can get more on line why bother going to WBAC - sell it on line ! change the ownership yourself , claim back tax yourself , waste your time with tyre kickers etc.

It wasn’t even a negative review compared to loads of others and we did end up using you so not sure why you’re so upset! Yes when we used you the admins fees weren’t exactly well advertised but if you’re that embarrassed about them being highlighted then don’t charge them! The offer of a great price online then crap one when you arrive then I’ll have to call my boss to see if I can give more. Stop wasting time!? The original online valuation was £13,500 and the actual on site valuation was £12,507.28 (was fully expecting a knock down as there was a dent next to a rear light) Opted for same day transfer as I had a car lined up to buy so final amount transferred within an hour was £12,402.54 Would I use them again? Yes Would I sell to them again? Yes, If I was happy with the price NB Its worthwhile checking the approx value of your Car via somewhere like Parkers.co.uk as well. Problem is many sellers have unrealistic expectations on what there car is worth. In my case the actual offer priice was just over Parkers Dealer Trade In, and even that is only a guideline
