Don Miguel Ruiz wrote a book called the “Four Agreements”. One of the agreements is don’t take anything personally. He highlights in the chapter that if someone gives you praises don’t give too much weight to it and if someone criticizes you don’t give too much weight to it, because those same people that once gave you praises will be the same people that will criticize you. People look at life through their lens. Their experiences shape their view of life and because your life seems to be so public to other people. they feel the need to view your life through their lens. No comment is bad only because each comment earns you more money.
