A lot of these abandoned homes appear to have been sorted through and packed. I just cannot believe anyone living out of boxes like this. That being said, I do enjoy "walking" around with you,, listening to the history and admiring the architecture.

There are some strange contrasts in this house - the power is still on and yet there are portable lamps all over the place. It looks much like someone is doing a bit of wheeling and dealing, and selling at car-boots. They certainly like their electronics.

Great video again, nice work. Definitely not been abandoned for 15 years. Looked to me like the place was in the process of being sorted\cleared with stacked boxes in lots of rooms and crockery and ornaments paid out on tables etc. My guess is a deceased estate that ran into a legal inheritance battle, possibly contested will? Did you notice the black food recycle box at the bottom of the stairs at 9.55, they were not around 15 years ago. Someone was house sitting that place but probably left within the last 3\4 years.

Regarding "someone paying the bills" for the electricity and phone still being on....several years ago a woman who lived in a city in the midwest part of the US was found dead in her house by a realtor who had come to show the house on behalf of the bank which owned the house after it was foreclosed on for non payment of the mortgage. The deceased woman had set up all of her bills to be paid by automatic drafts from her bank account. For the 3 YEARS she lay dead in the house, all of her bills continued to be paid on time until her bank account ran out of money. Her neighbors had not missed her because they didn't know her well and they were aware she often traveled to Europe for extended periods of time. Her job didn't miss her because she had been laid off several months before she died. She lived alone and her few family members lived in Europe. Moral to the story....if you have your bills paid by automatic draft or charges to a credit card, make sure someone knows to stop the payments if you die.

If they sold some of the items in the home perhaps they could save the house. The high chair is from the 1930s and that is relatively new compared to the much older items. If they paid someone to live there and have them assist in sorting and cleaning up the house. At least it might be saved and give someone who enjoys older things and respects them a home and job!
@mikahbowden83205 жыл бұрын
It is probably estate locked, quite common.when somebody dies that has money and relatives can't agree. All the stuff was probably being pulled out for an estate sell and then it locked down. By the time they figure it out with the courts homes and stuff are usually a loss. So sad when you think of all the homeless people in the world :(

I’m aware that the gun cabinet had been broken into, but those cartridges are not supposed to be loose in that drawer. They should be locked away in a place separate from the gun. When I had shotguns in the house years ago guns were dismantled and hidden in various cabinets under things like false bottoms of wardrobes etc so a whole gun was never in one place, that was our own choice but the locking up part wasn’t, cartridges had to be stored away from the guns and locked up. That was over 30 years ago so to see a load in a drawer is not what I’d expect.

If its still got the electric and phone connected then it is not abandoned someone must still be paying the bills and with live shotgun cartridges there I would not want to be walking around inside that house if you value your life it maybe someone is supposed to be looking after the place for foreign owners there are lots of people around the world with masses of money just keeping it as an investment to hide some of there ill gotten gains.

Abandoned for 15 years is unlikely, I'd say 5-10 max. In the last bedroom there in a second or third generation Apple TV remote next to the bed, that dates from late 2010. The Sony TV you turned off is a W2000 series that first came out in 2007. Also that e-book in the kitchen is a Kindle 3 which is max 9 years old, (and the fact it turned on means someone recently charged it, the battery in mine goes full dead after a few months unused). Guessing that may be from a squatter or another urbex explorer (or their companion) who forgot it there.

The thing is, if you & other explorers find these places, I'm sure squatters & thieves & other criminals could find them. How many possessions have been stolen from these places? This one is very odd, with the power & TV & phone still working. Do you not think you are giving bad people too much info? Do remember everything you touch will have your hand prints on too. But I get the fascination with these old places.

Not a chance that place has been abandoned for 15 years, it looks more like the last owner couldn’t afford to keep up with the running and maintenance costs of a property that size and it’s fallen apart around them. It happens, a friend of mine bought a large six bedroom house a few years ago that a guy had inherited, he tried to keep it on but with a roof breach, it started to decay from the inside out until it became uninhabitable. It had been empty for about 12-18 months when my friend took it on but it was in a worse state than this property... it’s absolutely mint again now.

I thought this house was to have 17 bedrooms. I don't recall even seeing the kitchen. Perhaps you were too worried about being found out but it was much too short and I would like it if you focused more on the items in each room and spending time to see what is really in there. Plus, you are so quiet in your voice I cannot hear what you are saying and mixed with your accent (for me at least it is an accent since I'm American) you were extremely hard to hear. I look ed too if there were closed captions but no, not this time. Perhaps you might consider adding that unless you get a different microphone are talk more loudly. The house was so messy it was hard to tell what was there but I would have loved to see more of the house.

I saw something you guy's missed that I am sure is real and worth a lot of money , or either know what it is and decided not to put on film. I would have dug around the room with the uniform little more to be honest. As perhaps there is a small box containing medals in it. THAT would be a real shame if they got into the wrong hands. I DO NOT condone taking anything with you. But I would have taken the medals if they are any, as medals can be tracked and perhaps given back to the owners family or if none are living or don't want them donated to a War museum. I would condone on the basis of preservation and not for your on gain in profit. Another great videos guys. And sorry for being mysterious to what I saw..but I am not sure if others know the location of this place ect.
