Well, that's what it is now, beamng's grip physics before that update were awful as soon as you broke traction, the devs themselves even mentioned something about incorrect calculations/implementation of dynamic friction

@@БлогерыРоссии If you play the game for more than just the crashes you will notice that the only thing BeamNG does not simulate well are tires-heat/model and aero (which I believe they will be overhauling very soon because of the amount of requests for it). Everything else is done really well including the engines, suspension, and weight (I love tearing my bumpers off with node grab :D) and sure it may not feel as good as IRacing or ACC but it simulates so much more than them, and with the games constant updates I believe BeamNG will surpass every sim in terms of physics. I just wish people would stop thinking its just a crash physics demonstration like it was at the start because it is so much more than that now and will continue evolving into something great.

I was pleasantly surprised when i came back after 1+ year hiatus. The driving is sooo much better than it was. Much smoother at high speeds ( and better fps ? optimization maybe ? ) Every time i come back to this game i feel like i should send the devs a 20 because it feels like a new game.

beamng is so much easier to drift now its insane . its still like assetto corsa on ice but its still crazy good if you take in everything else all the physics damage etc nothing competes

People saying we don’t want it easier we want it realistic haven’t played before vs after updates and felt how unrealistic it felt before. I played the day before the update just practicing drifting then the day the update happened, it’s still more difficult than other games but the handling is intuitive. Before it didn’t naturally want to turn into the corner without input but now it will hold the angle you give it which is what would normally happen. Plus it make it more fun when you can drift.

A year later but you actually played with assists off, you have to check wheel filter in order for the assists to be added to the wheel, then it gets heavier. So you drifted by yourself. Nice clip anyway

I decided i'll focus my rage on the 3d printed box to mount on my wheel stand. i got a 30 dollar arcade stick diy usb kit. i'm thinking having the buttons arranged in the shifter pattern, and use the stick as the handbrake, simhub and a side screen can keep track of the gearing if the kit itself makes lighting up the buttons difficult for my intended purposes.
