Imo if we're calling it playoffs, cuts should be firm and should be ~64 for GMC and ~48 for MVP in MPO. If you have 32 in the DGPT Championship, you have double the amount for GMC and a linear step down to MVP. Also makes getting into those beloved events that much more meaningful. Maybe now they have to keep the cuts "soft" and backfill, but have the numbers set so that as the sport grows and your entire top ~100 can travel globally, it's no issue and means something.

Terrible take about who should be allowed to play in playoff events... Playoff events should be FULL field with only guaranteed spots for playoff players and the event should run like another event. Just like how nascar does it. Strength of field is always top 32 < top 32 + 80 other players regardless of rating. It adds more separation between playoff players fighting amongst non playoff players. Non playoff players don't get playoff points but still have stuff to fight for like winning, cash, potential player cards, potential sponsorships bonuses/deals and ect. Plus purse will be larger

The problem is nobody really even notices and there is no difference between these events and other events. I agree the actual playoffs should be the best of the best

The whole point of playoffs and who gets in is dependent on how you played during the season. Idk how people can argue that they need a whole field for the play off events. Makes no sense. I think the playoffs should start with the top 80-50 and after each playoff event cut a certain amount of people until there’s only 12 people left and then that would be the “pro tour championship” with those 12 players. Electric.

I have listened to you rail on the Jomez thumbnails all season. Today was the first time you ever truly mentioned why they are bad. "They get fewer views." Which makes sense from a KZbinr perspective. But as a viewer.....I do not watch DGN. I do not follow live scoring. Thumbnails with player photos almost always are a spoiler. If I can watch Jomez without having spoilers than I am happiest. With all the content out there this is becoming harder and harder to do but I appreciate the new Jomez thumbnail style. Maybe if Jomez would have the names of those on the card that would be a positive thing for them, for views.

You do have to factor in Jomez's video length increasing to how much they will also show of what other cards are doing as well. They didn't use to show as much, if any of other cards player in their older videos.

The playoff should be if you were top 80 then you are required to pay entry fee, but you do not have to show if you do not play then you do not move on to the next round of playoffs which would then be top 50 regardless of tour points standings The top 50 from the first playoff event the second playoff event top two playoff event move to tour championship again regardless of standings this keeps things interesting, and makes it where all the best players have to play their best to make it to the championship and not be able to take a week off.

This is my opinion and you guys do whatever you want - I don’t understand the need to talk about FPO as much as MPO. For example when you guys were doing the segment of people you were surprised missed the playoffs and then tried to do the same thing with FPO and Trevor literally said he has no idea who those people are. Well, neither do we and we don’t want to hear about it. I want to hear the most important stuff happening in disc golf. I want the biggest headlines and stories. I have noticed with disc golf podcasts that there seems to be this need to talk equally about both. And maybe this is sexist, but I really don’t care about FPO, just like I could care less about the WNBA. If ESPN starts talking about WNBA I’m outta there, I don’t care, and I’m not interested, I have better things to do than that.

I've noticed the trend of pro tour players being able to play in the Q-series events and frankly I think that shouldn't be allowed. Especially if it's set up to allow current non-tour card holders basically compete for points to qualify for a tour card. But also would be interesting to possibly see a second set/tier of tour card holders where the only limit is how many events you're allowed to register for

People don't watch Jomez for the soul fact that it's less time intensive. They watch it because DGN is an inferior product, it has awful video quality, confising editing, lame commentary, waaayyyy too much drone footage (maybe you guys like watching a tournament from 400' in the air?), and it's idiotically overpriced for what you receive as a consumer. I'd rather pay for Jomez and receive a good product than pay for DGN and get a steaming pile of crap. Jomez, Gatekeeper, GK Pro, and CGDG, made DG what it is today and you're biting the hand that fed you. If DGN is the only option to watch DGPT we'll just watch A tiers and forget the Pro Tour exists.

post produced sucks cause of how long it is now, and usually i prefer to go play than watch live on my weekends so i watch very little anymore. bring back lead card and gatekeeper chase card. otherwise I'll just watch more foundation,, simon, etc .
