Hall, Miley, Murphy, Burn & Longy all grew up supporting NUFC & now they are first team regulars in arguably the best Toon team since the Keegan era... Living the dream those lads are, just hope they can bring us(& themselves) a trophy to put the icing on the cake.

Great balance achieved with Gordon out right and big Joe on the left of our attack. Longstaff was fantastic in our midfield and Willock's runs brock Arsenals lines betweem mid and defence. Love the way the toon are learning to funnel back and close the space when out of possesion, with J7 and Gordon covering Hall and Liveramento. We have a good squad with probably a speedy RCB and Rw needed this winter. Can see Osula becoming a class replacement for Callum next year and with the likes of Pivas, Salia added we seem to at last be developing top players for the future to follow Hall and Liveramento into our squad. Great performance from the squad and a special thanks to Sean Longstaff for doing his very special bit to smash Arsenal, take a bow Loggy lad.

Lewis Halls post match interview was very interesting. He was soooo much more confident sounding There’s still a question about the m/f and all the Longstaff haters have he to scurry off under the nearest rock. The most sapient thing you guys said was the *midfield functions” with Sean playing.

We will never be able to move on from longstaff untill we get a proper no 6 who will do all the things he does AND more
@yogihightowerКүн бұрын
Sean longstaff is just not a fashionable footballer. The criticism from me was that he looked a little bit off the pace mentality or technically compared to the Brazilian lads and the forwards. An example would be he takes a few extra touches before making that forward pass or he mis controls because he wasn't expecting that pass. His fitness is astonishing, and it's pleasing to see him having a good couple of games.
@georgemorley1029Күн бұрын
As good as this was, real progress hinges on going to Forest and taking them down a peg or two while moving ourselves up. As long as we turn up at home against City, Chelsea and Arsenal, well fine, but the lads are right when they ask will we turn up at teams away, teams like Brentford, Forest, Ipswich, Leicester? We’ve got to keep that standard no matter the opposition. Well played this weekend though, magnificent result.
@charliesmith7256Күн бұрын
Hall has been great and deserves his flowers. But you can't look over the fact Joelinton doubled Saka EVERY chance they got. Don't remember Hall ever being 1v1. I've questioned Livramento and I don't think he's a great player but his strong suit is 1v1 and it showed matching Martinelli for pace a couple of times.
@davidbartell44602 күн бұрын
Was great performance. Said earlier in season that wilock makes Newcastle a different team. Adds pace from centre midfield. Must say not been longstaff fan. But he has been immense last 2 games. Just got to transfer this to our away performance then we can really look up the table!

He’s not done well in the midfield with Bruno and no Willock to make the running and J7 out of position, now he’s returning to form. It’s great news. I want Sean Longstaff to succeed! Christ, I want Miguel Almiron to succeed too! But it’s fair to say they’ve been off it for a while now. This is very, very welcome.
