Every time I pier fish, I start at the waves. There’s soo much fish, rays, sharks and halibut just yards from shore. It’s funny to hear all the people passing by giggling and saying things like “is there even any fish there? Or “ why is he fishing in the sand.” Some look over and ask why don’t I go to the deep end with everyone else. I’ll tell them to go down there and ask everyone what they caught so far. They’ll come back about 20 min later saying “some ppl are catching little small fish” I’ll then show them the few sharks, rays, perch, corvina I’ve caught in those 20 min. And it’s all smiles and respect 😁

Hey man... I don’t know if you’re familiar with the laws in California, but if Tyler said he saw a white shark dropping his bait, and then you drop a bait youre targeting a protected species. I’m all for showing the people how to fish but you should show them the right way. On top of that the sign that says shark spotted are usually only used when white sharks are seen near shore to detour people from going in the water. Just some information for you because technically you’re showing people how to fish for a protected species and don’t want you to get In trouble for fish and game. Rusty hook crew can tell you that’s not what they were targeting but we all know thats BS

@@poeslanding We already run into a lot of "concerns" from local authorities. bringing a bait cannon to the beach will really attract unwanted attention. I don't believe it could handle the amount of weight we are using either. sometimes we are dealing with some strong currents. Not sure how well it works with conventional reels as well. It is a great idea, but a cali nightmare. Yes I know technically compressed air is legal, but it would be a battle.
