Greetings from Georgia. I think it may have been a skunk 🦨 that dispatched the squirrel. One took my companion Bantam Rooster, when I was younger. One took several kittens when I was in high school. My favourite uncle said they go after them in that manner. (Trying to keep my comment family friendly. To not upset anyone, especially children.)

My Daddy would of had Mama bake that possum for his supper. Lol If Daddy was still living he would be 105 years old this June. He lived through the depression and a lot of hard times and even though I wasn't fond of it many were the day that I came home from school to find possum, squirrel, rabbit, snapping turtle, frog legs, ect. on our supper table.
