Dutch you should by some squirrel feeders for your trees to feed the squirrels , they will become accustomed to eating there and may leave your traps alone, plus Hopi can feed them everyday and they even may become friendly, that’s what we’ve done and we’ve been in our home for over 40 years with many families of squirrels looking for food from us still .

You need to get Guinea hens. They eat ticks, flies, grasshoppers and crickets. They also lay eggs that can be eaten. They also attack snakes. They are good watch hens for other predators.

HADLEE: I just wanted to say if Dutch and Brandi read this that Hadlee’s haircut is the cutest cut on her. It frames her face so well and makes her eyes even more pretty. I’ve noticed that she is engaging more in the videos too. I Think All your girls are just Beautiful but I especially connected with Hadlee right from the Start. I was so proud of her when she beat a lot of guys on that trip down to San Antonio where she and Dutch did the long distance shoot-out. Way To Go Hadlee! You are just Outstanding!

Dutch, squirrels are everywhere there's trees in North America. You cannot rid your property of squirrels as you live in a wooded area. Those squirrels may have nests with babies which could starve. Where there's corn, there's squirrels. Those two will probably beat you back home by hopping around the tree limbs. So if you continue putting out corn, the squirrels will come.

Squirrels generally stay in a 3 mile radius. So if your property is under 3 miles you releasing them on the other side really will be somewhat ineffective. Wish you guys success.

We have alot of the gray and white ones. They are smart and funny to watch. They love peanuts and will bury them for later. They can be trained to take food right out of your hands. Have used disposable aluminum pie tins to hold food in traps.Even if they push trap around, the food is in the dish and not on the ground. Had coons coming on my back deck and leaving their surprise piles so I set up a box trap there. Next day found a little one in trap and the mother was pushing the trap off the porch. Never underestimate how fast the critters figure something out.

Dutch, I use a Hav-a-Life trap baited with sunflower seeds and mounted to a piece of plywood which help to keep the trap in place and more secured. I then use 9" landscaping nails through the plywood to anchor it into the ground. I would not recommending transporting the squirrels to another part of your property as they seem to have a GPS system to get them back to their original home.
