I feel like it's because most kids these days don't like wild caught game or fish because it's "too different" than beef or chicken or whatever can be bought at the supermarket. If you raise kids on different foods, they'd be more willing to eat different stuff. Just my thoughts though, I don't have kids of my own 😅

I just love how the girls are coming into their own personalities. Along with the fact that you and Sarah are so present for them, it will stand them in great stead for the future. Thanks for another epic video, Rob. I also enjoy lighter tackle because it makes for a more enjoyable fight. But 430ft of water...? Only Robert Arrington is brave enough...

Every time I see someone fry onions it reminds me of this little mom-and-pop restaurant on the corner where I grew up. If they were slow they would fry some onions and garlic and the exhaust fan would send that smell outside into the air, which would draw in customers because it smells so good that it made people hungry. lol. It works like a charm!

This looks super good but I think there’s room for improvement: First brown fish in a pot Next remove it and add onions, mushroom, ginger, lemongrass, and scallion whites (and maybe add scotch bonnet pepper) After those cook down a bit add fish stock to the pot with maybe bay leaves and some other spices Add coconut milk, reintroduce the fish and let it finish cooking low and slow Finish with a scallion garnish and serve

You cannot brown arrowtooth flounder. They turn to mush. If you try to cook them the fillets literally become like slimy mashed potatoes. They have an enzyme that turns the flesh to pudding if you try to cook it over dry heat. Alaska fish and game calls it inedible. Google this fish.

At 9:32, this fish is called an arrowtooth flounder, and the teeth in the back of the throat are called pharyngeal teeth, which most fish eaters have. I have heard from experiance living up here that the taste good, but they spoil fast, which is why most charters cut them up and use them for bait for large halibut. They also have really tough flesh, so you can lose a couple hali's before you'd have to check the bait. Great video in it's entirety!
