I am here to affirm your wonderful production some people didn't understand the creative process and the great show... it was creative and UCLA Choir was there.... educational institutions don't randomly send their choirs or students to participate in a programme. Congratulations.... spread the joy, craziness and creativity....🎉⚘🎉⚘🎉⚘🙌🙌🙌🌟🌟🌟📚📚📚📚🤣🤣🤣🤣🚀🚀🚀✈✈✈☕☕😍😍👏👏🐇🐇🐇🌼🌼🌹🌹👍❤

i got gmail in fall 2004 and apparently signed up for your mailing list right away (i just looked, and my first email from you is in fall 2004, talking about the best gig ever and advertising the upcoming mp3 experiment at ucb). it's one of the only things i've never unsubscribed from! i've only gotten to participate as an agent once, when the mp3 experiment came to disney hall in los angeles (maybe 10 years ago?). your work has brought me so much joy over the years, thank you.

I left NYC a few years ago to take care of my mom, but I still miss the city a lot. This documentary made me smile so much! I used to get so excited when I would get IE email notices to see if it might be something I could participate in. Every year I knew I could at least do one, No Pants Subway Ride lol

What a wonderful film. It captures IE so so well, and all of what has driven Charlie et al for so many years...and so many wonderful memories. As a sometimes-agent, sometimes-audience member, and always a fan and huge supporter of causing scenes that delight and disrupt everyday life. Here's to future missions and the resulting smiles.

I still remember my brother introducing me to IE, probably around 2002. He is 3 years older than me and graduated high school that year. As he headed off to college, it was our first time to set aside a lot of the annoyance of being brothers in close proximity, and then-internet-deep-cuts were something we bonded over and spent tons of time chatting about on AIM. In particular, we felt a sense of desperation for casual fun like the Fake U2 show-at a time in our country and in the world where we headed into international conflicts that would stand in the forefront, this was the sort of thing that felt like humanity actually doing good work. Agent Todd and his cast of friends and volunteers gave us something to look forward to every time a new mission recap was posted, and I’m still thankful for that feeling.

Loved watching this documentary. I'm 21 and have grown up with a world that thought flash mobs were cool and fun. I learned about Improv Everywhere due to my childishly humorous parents, and we've all loved watching your stuff since I was a preteen. I had the absolute JOY of being able to participate in the Asbury Park MP3 Experiment, and I will remember that for the rest of my life. Being able to learn more about the history of IE is so awesome. I hope more people hear about this and a branch of IE opens near me.

Thank you so much for posting the documentary! It was fascinating to see the progression alongside technology. I honestly teared up a bit at the end, I found IE in either 06 or 08 I can’t quite remember (probably 08 bc that’s when I got my own computer) but regardless it was a really difficult time in my life and I remember so vividly loving each mission update because it made me feel like it was possible to grow up and still enjoy life at a time when I wasn’t sure I wanted to keep growing up. Thanks Charlie for all the art and all the fun!

I remember my first Improv Everywhere was walking invisible dogs in Park Slope in Brooklyn. We all met in a warehouse and we were handed stiff leashes. We went out into Brooklyn that afternoon and walked our invisible dogs. The looks on peoples faces was priceless. Our dogs stopped at trees and fire hydrants, sniffing other invisible dogs. I have been an improver (when I can) ever since.

I have been following Improv Everywhere from the time I was in a young student (around 2008) til now. Over the years I've continued to be so inspired by the creativity and humor of each of the "missions" Charlie Todd put together. Seeing this documentary shows just how resilient he, and his entire team, were in the face of many who rejected, insulted, or tried to shut down his uplifting and hilarious scenes, and others who replicated his ideas, sometimes without even giving proper credit. Improv Everywhere is an incredible demonstration of how creativity can be tremendously impactful, moving people around the world to action. I hope to emulate the strong personality and values of Improv Everywhere in my personal and professional life. Thanks so much to Charlie Todd and Improv Everywhere for the beautiful energy and spirit you've stirred up in this world.

Thank you so much for sharing this! I remember being so hyped to see it when it was first released, but I was never able to. It was great seeing some of the unseen sides of IE, especially the work you were able to do with NBC (which added some context to the missions you did with them). It reminded me why I enjoy seeing new missions coming out. I remember being involved in the freezes in Manchester, the first you can see at 1:08:57, which was at Manchester Picadilly Station. The second freeze, which was more successful was in Picadilly Gardens a few days later. I was able to help get some people involved as I was pme of the leaders of Improv Manchester, a group that was born from the short lived Improv Everywhere Global.

I don't know if you gonna read this Charlie but I just wanted to let you know how thankful I am. I saw your first video when I was like 10 years old and it was just so hilarious and made me feel so happy.. That there is whole connection to other people even tho you don't know them kind of deal. I was always very extroverted but your videos made me realize that my goofy side is okay too and seeing this documentary for the first time made me so happy for you. It all worked out. I can't express how much joy the way you went through your life brought me. I hope one day I'll be able to participate in an mp3 experiment. Once again thanks for everything. I found out about these guys sometime around the mid 2000s like 2004/5 or so. I just checked my email because I wanted to see the earliest one I got from them. Apparently I sent in an idea to them and they said they would consider it. So cool. I don't know if they did try out my idea but it's all good. I did get added to their list so maybe it's still on the table? 🤷‍♀
