Mini series is great fine for this, but i don't know how i feel about Rad Red being live. I love the conversation you guys do in the videos. I feel like with the live videos it won't have the same feeling as pre-recorded videos. I also watch these videos later and i feel secluded on not being there live and missing out on the engagement. So heres to 8 weeks of then we fights, and hoping we get a new pre-recorded nuzlocke series.

Wanted to leave a constructive criticism comment: While I actually do love the “then we fight” videos, I can find them on so many channels. I think that if you’re wanting viewer retention AND mix things up after a year a then we fight series isn’t the way to go since the genre is already over saturated with a ton of great content already. I think the idea to mix it up is a great idea, and I wonder if a series going through some of the rom hack puzzles could be fun? For example, you are at the elite 4, you have the boxes of Pokémon and it’s a kaizo esc rom hack and you dads work TOGETHER to figure out the best solution. I think this combines the problem solving of the soul link and provides something new because usually you guys are off camera whenever things like this happen. I think what DBD misses without the “playthrough” aspect is the conversations about life and the podcast feeling and that’s definitely what I was missing from this video. Looking forward to the soul link and the future of this series ❤ I’m sure it’ll get better but those are just some of my first thoughts Edit: one thing I haven’t thought about is the idea of wanting to build that final team for the final fight, I think it’ll be interesting enough that I’ll watch all of them for sure. I still stand by what I said earlier though with it being an oversaturated market though

I love dads being dudes, it’s my favorite channel! However, I feel like this series doesn’t really fit the channel. I come to dads being dudes for the conversation and the nostalgic play through feel, but I feel this video was missing a good bit of what makes this channel special. I know it’s a mini series and will only be around for about a month, but I hope the commentary in these videos can shift back to more of a podcast feeling. What a fun start to this series! Love the little twist revealed at the end for the winner of each battle. I'm also curious, was this meant to be a little twist on Infinite Fusion with the combining Pokemon element or just random chance? I get the thought behind this. You figured this miniseries would be a nice little palette cleanser after a year of nuzlockes. However, nuzlockes are the entire reason most of us are here. Then We Fights have become oversaturated on this platform, and your individual channels already put out more than enough of that content, while nuzlockes have simultaneously gone to the wayside. If you want to have palette cleansers, then I suggest you find a different Pokemon hack to nuzlocke. You guys have gone back and forth between two games every time you've lost instead of introducing other Roms. Play some Drayano hacks if you find Rad Red and Infinite Fusions too repetitive. Do a Dicelocke of a game. There are plenty of options out there. What this channel doesn't need, though, is Then We Fights. Or Pokerogue. Those types of series are literally everywhere in the community and so many viewers are interested in other forms of content. Similarly, while I don't dislike the idea of live streams for a series, I know many others don't enjoy watching vods and can't watch live. And, a big thing is, most viewers are here for the nuzlocke itself - not to hear you all talk to chat/thank donators/subs, and other things that make for poor viewing experiences. This is a complaint that hundreds of comments highlighted in the announcement of your upcoming live stream. Personally, I'd just rather not see an hour of calcing before a ten minute battle. Looking at docs is great, using the Rad Red dex to check mons and moves is cool, but when calcing becomes the entire stream it's too much. I know it's really easy to dismiss comments like mine and the many others who say these things, and people will surely reply saying "if you don't like it, don't watch" but that's such a trap to fall into. No one says you need to capitulate to all of your viewers' fancies, but at the same time you do need to take these concerns in and adjust if the ultimate goal is to grow the audience.

Fun video idea. Then we fight BUT one Pokemon has access to any moves, ability, AND typing you want. So 5 Pokemon are normal but one is absolutely CRACKED. And it's randomized starter Pokemon and you have to choose the crazy mon during the selections. So you need to try and pick the best possible one without knowing if a better mon for it is going to come right after
