Talking about children's path in life- Do what you want to do. Maybe not what you're best at, but what you want to do. If you love it enough and are devoted to it, doorways will open up - proficiency only takes time and care, some may learn easier, but all will learn with time As for monetising/passion- business is still kind of good, learning how to make more passive income and being able to value your time, having time for hobbies or what you care and family

Naming a kid "Leia" is how you know someone had their kid as a narcissistic prop to represent their own hobbies rather than a human life with which to empathize. Good luck, homegirl.

Here's a perfect challenge for you dudes. Pick your starter knowing only 3 letters from their name. So your opponent sees your starters and gets to choose three (consecutive) letters from each of their names to tell you. There's so much tactical thinking here. The right group of letters could throw the opponent off track. For example: ARA Is that a Gyarados? Parasect? Meowscarada? DOS OK that is Gyarados. Or Zapdos. Or Ariados. RAD Surely it's Cradily. Or could be Meowscarada now. Oh, it's Gyarados! Guaranteed banger video with you dads! 😁👌

For the hobby/passion/career discussion re: kids, I just wanted to put my little story out there as another perspective to look at and consider: Starting at age like 9-ish, I started drawing a ton. I had notebooks filled cover to cover with Powerpuff Girls and Pokemon, and my parents knew that I loved drawing. Id be drawing during church sermon all the time and theyd get mad at me for not paying attention, so they knew it was something i thoroughly enjoyed. When it came time for me to go to high school, i really wanted to go to two specific trade/arts schools. One was for its prestige, and the other was a backup plan because my best friend at the time was going to that one. But my parents wouldnt let me go to either. I had to go to the college prep/educationally prestigious high school instead because i had such good grades in middle school and elementary. My parents believed i would never make a career or money out of art, so they went the educational route. This is probably where my story will differentiate substantially from where yours might end up in the future. In the end, my parents had never saved up anything to help me fund college, and because my grades as a freshman & sophomore in high school were so bad - because i didnt want to go to that school, i couldnt pursue my passion of art, and so i was extremely depressed and acting out - i couldnt get accepted into universities or colleges due to my poor grades. They got significantly better in my junior and senior years, and i learned to take pride in my smartness and knowledge of general things, but those first two years screwed me over so poorly that i still have never gone to college and never had an official art class. I personally feel like if i had been able to go where i wanted to for high school, and learned more about art and color theory and stuff, id be more inclined today to draw all the time like i used to in high school. I could have turned it into a career, i did sell commissions from time to time in my high school and early 20s, but i always felt stagnant and didnt have the time to pursue art classes after becoming an adult since i had to immediately go into the minimum wage work force. All of this is to say: I have full faith that you 3 dads will listen to your kids and pay attention to their passions, but also, please dont make it such a difficult decision of "should I teach them how to make money with this passion? Or teach them how to make a career a different way?" Personally, I think you should lean into their passions and let them ride those out for as long as they want. They can figure out the career thing once they're an adult, but they wont have all the time in the world to practice their hobbies and passions like they do now, as kids. 😊

the art world kinda sucks (especially rn) and only very few people get to make a career out of their art. it's really tough and really depressing a lot of the time, so personally i'd try to keep expactations low/realistic for my child if they expressed interest in becoming an artist. it's a really unstable way to earn a living and it's full of heartbreak, a backup plan or different interests are a must imo :((
@SombraMalamuttКүн бұрын
I felt that whole conversation about childhood activities but especially Shady talking about his daughter 'cause that was probably my parents' position when I was growing up. I can say that as a kid I knew I was good at art and I knew I wanted to keep getting better at it and I liked doing it so that's why I pursued it. My mom found me different art classes to join, my high school art teach did private tutoring with me and I'd do this summer art job for a few years and really liked all of it. She even found sewing classes for me when I got interested in sewing. But the burnout is absolutely real. It didn't get to me until I graduated college and it hit hard. I'm 35 going on 36 now and I'm just now settling into how I really wanna pursue art. There's definitely a delicate balance between making art for profit and making art for yourself which I'm still working out myself.

If you’re smart and a legit lifter then you’d love barbell. Pause reps are key for strength training. (The Dylan build is not someone to listen to)
