I love how you put Soviet footage in the videos along with Russian footage

The Soviet and eventually Russian Navy grew on me. One of the most misunderstood Navies. They follow a very different doctrine than the US Navy which is unfortunate when they get laughed at for not adhering to a US style Navy. You can definitely see a different approach in how they design their ships and submarines. They emphasize heavily on air, underwater and area defence.

@@lucasodelta2591 if you’re talking about 1997-1990 then it was legal for the leaders state corporations to set prices freely and buy cheaply from the people’s labour, so essentially state capitalism although this is Gorbachev’s fault. And this being Russian tradition smacks racist, considering greed is more a product of circumstance than universal, although some people are unquestionably greedy.

And soldiers already had started stealing coper from weapon systems for the black market. The USSR did not die when it became russia It died at least a decade before and the rest was a slow decay.

​@@ericyarmey4454that title probably goes to the PLAN right now. The thing is, Russia has, on paper, a sizable and capable fleet with some capable ships in it. However they are held back by incessant corruption as well as lack of maintenance and training. A number of high profile losses, such as Kursk or Komsomolets could have been avoided had the ships and their armament been properly maintained.
