Well 1801 (1st battle) and 1807 2nd battle) Terrorbombing / firebombing Copenhagen was one of the things Nelson was good at . he feared our navy so much and didnt want Napoleon to try to force Denmark to join him .. that he needed us to surrender and unfortunately we had a weak and cowardly King at that time and remember we were a NEUTRAL Country he took our navy , destroyed ships but that evidently birthed the the frase " gunboat diplomacy" bc we for a time used smaller boats in force to defeat bigger ships...
