Going to call you out in the "not a particular safe place to travel" statement.... South Africa has areas that are unsafe, like many other countries. But 99% is the country is just as safe as Australia. Blanket statements like that paint us in a bad light, and that's uncool.
@adriang450 Жыл бұрын
I agree 100%. The bad press is spread a lot about people who haven’t lived here or move overseas and use it as a motivational factor for themselves as to why they don’t miss the country. There are definitely unsafe areas but that is the case in all countries around the world.
@daneberryman Жыл бұрын
@@adriang450 if you think south africa has the same level of safety of Australia your mad
@BubblesTheCat1 Жыл бұрын
Nothing wrong with his statement. I'm South African, and have moved down to Cape Town from Gauteng, mostly because of safety reasons. Fair enough, Cape Town also has dangerous areas, but Gauteng is particularly bad.
@caryknapton7233 Жыл бұрын
@@daneberryman He didn't say that he said South Africa is 99% is safe....having lived there for 10 years you know where to go and where not to go. I moved back to the UK in 2018 as the family is here, just come back from visiting for a month, I would have no problems going back.
@adriang450 Жыл бұрын
@@daneberryman I would be mad to say that. However I didn’t, did I? Australia is definitely safer than South Africa as a whole. No doubt. I would be “mad” to say otherwise. All I was saying is that every country has its ‘unsafe’ places. Sure, South Africa has significantly more than Australia. That however doesn’t make it a dangerous place. More dangerous than Australia, yes. No doubt.
