I've encountered a server that was glitched like this before, it was back in Season 7. So I'm 90% sure this isn't necessarily triggered by cheaters trying to crash a server, just some issue on Rare's end that prevents object hitboxes from working correctly. Goddamn if it isn't fun to mess around in though.

Have you worked within a development pipeline? I only ask because in certain instances the art developers have to create certain clip or no clip for animation purposes and many others. This is in every game hence the new speed running. Everyone screaming broken game, it is not as simple as some say “clip=true” they haven’t worked with Houdini and then baking out to the engine. Issue is it’s in a multiplayer game, and people content with destroying a game for everyone else are doing so. Why we can’t have nice things and it’s sad. Now people doing it saying they’re proving a point, they’re full of it.

So they've clearly not added a line to the code that gives you a gamestate like dead like: "if die then dead = true" and even if they had it's as simple a fix as "if dead = true then check if on ferry" followed by "if dead = true && if on ferry = false then teleport back to ferry" The hard part would only be to make a bounding box for the ferry I guess to check if someone is on it, but even that should be pretty easy for a more experienced coder. My "having studied coding for a year" brain can figure out a way to fix this. Now granted their code is probably spaghetti by this point, they should be able to keep you on the ferry if you're dead in some way or another... This would probably fix at least the unkillable hacker and them flipping boats like crazy hacks/exploits.

Last night I ran into my third cheater experience. Level 50. Just sad how blatant it is and not looking forward to the report. They were uncaptained, had troll names, no cosmetics, invulnerable, speed hacked onto the brig in the first few seconds and just sat at helm and anchor unable to take damage (not immune to sword charge bounce back and kept zooming back onto the boat when we knocked them off), frequently turned on mic to blast songs about not liking n words, repeatedly playing audio with multiple slurs. Just sad shit. That was the first match we had. No more cheaters but god damn.

There are several KZbinrs who have continuously uploaded videos of people doing it. I’ve personally experienced it myself. They need to revamp the entire game, that or install an anti cheat, which they haven’t even alluded to doing yet. They’ve minimized the issue just as you have. It’s not an small issue, the game is broken, end of story.
