Great respect to all of the drivers who dared to attempt this course! I would love to see it in person. Have you thought about hanging a plumb bob type thing in front of your camera to help viewers appreciate the angles involved? A tour of the anatomy of some of these rigs would be awesome I love your channel, keep doing what you do!!!

What a great bunch of rigs and drivers! StepChild is the only freeway comfortable crawler though. Great spotting again Brit. Oh, That Skirt! Great driving again Kev! Thanks for the explanation of FullHydro. LiteBriteNationEducation!

It's a fun trail for sure. That first alternate line is tough even with rear steer. I watched a Jesse Haines comp buggy struggle on it and he ended up going around. (he was new to the rig) They spotted for me on it and I made it after a 10 minute struggle with my wife sitting beside me. She was nervous I was pumped
@StormbornJKU6 ай бұрын
The step child is perfect. You really do have a solid balance of everything. If you want a buggy then build the hell out of Brittany’s buggy and that’ll be that. Then you’ve got the stepchild for everything else lol

Brittany has quite the Off-road Uniform. Kinda hard to watch the line when there is other action going on. Beautiful scenery in Southern Utah. 😂

Seems Britts spotting skills keep getting better and better. Love watching(and hearing) helping the drivers get through the crazy obstacles.

Most Wise to consider the ramifications of a failure impact to your beautiful investment in Step Child, it’s also being considerate and respectful of the equipment.

Fully controllable and programmable 100% hydraulic suspension. Eventually it will be perfected to cover on and off road applications. Brittney's spotting skills are top notch and her enthusiasm for the sport, well you can kinda tell she's having fun whether she's driving or not.

Technically it’s in sequence. The paint reveal and SEMA videos were the ones posted out of sequence (to line up with the actual physical debut of the Jeeps new look at SEMA itself) 😊

Good call on backing off. It’s bad when an obstacle looks that crazy on camera. And knowing how close trail hero was to sema it would have been crazy to fix it plus paint if you damaged it bad enough.
@Daveinet6 ай бұрын
You are thinking backwards. Put two winches, one under each front seat. Run the cable under the floorboard. Bend a custom pipe that follows the inside of the frame. Run the line through the pipe. Put a pulley or a ring to make the 90 down to the axle.

When i first started wheeling my pro r at sand hollow i would practice at toll booth ledge at the end of west rim and the 2nd time i went back after it rained it was so dug out it added like another foot or 2 so when you said it changes i can vouch for that and also before i did abunch of trails i would say all the time i could do that while watching videos on youtube and when i saw them in person i couldnt believe how much bigger they were videos never do it justice and that wall looked massive in the video so i can only imagine what it looks like in person. Great video as usual.

I asked this question in your “Don’t recover a Jeep this way.” Kevin are you ready for a suck down winch? Your Reply “Not at all. Plus there’s zero way to do it without full hydro. The jeep crawls amazingly and is planted.” I am curious if this response was before or after the wheeling trip in this video. The way I setup suck down winches when the vehicle has a track bar and hydro assist is to use 2 hause fairleads and a hookless rope, so that it is easy to switch from winching forward to winching down. The first fair lead is mounted low to sneak the rope under the radiator, and to take the stress off a winch pulling off the top (not strong). The second is mounted directly above your axle. This needs mounted when the front suspension is in full bump.
@LiteBrite6 ай бұрын
We haven’t been able to find a way to hook anything up without it hitting other components. A suck down winch would be useful but there is really no room. If you can help us find the room for it that would be great.
@neilkirkes6 ай бұрын
Try using the method I described@@LiteBrite. Use ATV winch fair leads for their compact size. Just make sure the opening is tall enough for the braided end of the loop to pass through easily. The rounded edge of the front most fairlead faces forward, the one that sits over the axle faces rearward. The mounts for the fair leads need to be really strong especially the one under the radiator. Failure here is going to be a bad day.
