Just like the Saudis did for ten years? The quote of the day is: "The belief in the possibility of a short decisive war appears to be one of the most ancient and dangerous of human illusions." Robert Wilson Lynd. Or, from Sun Tzu: ""If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle." Do we really know these people? Do we know ourselves?

True they will be '''''defeated'''', but one dead American soldier equate to 30000 dead Houthis. So every idiot can see there is no winning against Americans. Its the same as saying Hamas will win against Israel, Israel lost 189 soldiers and 11000 Hamas terrorists gone. So even if the conflict ends today and Hamas is declared a winner, win what by losing 24000 people.

"We need to take out the infrastructure and commanding controls of the Houthis". As a Yemeni, allow me to say that this Rent-An-Admiral does not have the slightest idea about the Houthi situation in Yemen. But.. his response is typical of American and UK officers that we've heard going back as far as Vietnam, Afghanistan, Hezbulla, Iraq, Iran...etc. Complete and utter ignorance of the way these groups operate. These messages are intended for the domestic audience consumption, but they don't achieve any lasting results on the ground.

Electronic emissions, to determine command and control nodes very likely already determined. Geo-population, and cultural studies are very likely completed. Political studies likely completed. Roads, bridges, dams, fuel storage areas, power stations, water and energy pumping stations already targeted and Food storage locations targeted. But it will be up the Biden Whitehouse what they do. But all doable in short order.

The clap trap of Israel being guilty of genocide is ludicrous when Hamas uses their own people as human shields. I would also question the issue of the innocent population when the majority supported Hamas in the first place. We need to gain understanding with regard to how things really are. How many of us would like to have Hamas as a neighbor? Of course, this is all tragic but see things as they really are. The West's weak posture has been an invitation to this present chaos.

The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct ‘Palestinian people’ to oppose Zionism. For tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem. However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan.” “Wij zijn alleen Palestijn om politieke reden,” James Dorsey, Trouw, 31 March 1977

"Using people as human shields" What an excuse for terrorists and murderers to kill people, if someone is using people as human shields as you are alleging, why in the first place the Israeli terrorist regime invaded Gaza, bombing recklessly civilians areas, even when they knew there were civilians, the fact that brainwashed and extremists like you in the west do not know is that 25000 civilians, most of them women and children have been killed intentionally by the Jewish terrorist regime, Have you even heard from people who know what is actually happening in Gaza, the Israeli regime is killing civilians intentionally because it is a terrorist regime... It even attacked people (civilians) who were leaving the city for safer places, the regime killed intentionally about 200 journalists, who were witness to crimes of the terrorist regime. The regime has killed thousands of civilians injured in bombings by bombing hospitals, universities, markets etc. intentionally. How exactly did Israel fail, if they're not done with Gaza yet, and where they are (Northern Gaza), it's only a matter of time until all of its infrastructure is destroyed. If the Palestinian's Arab "brothers" were not so adamant on keeping the civilian population trapped in Gaza, and have allowed them to sit out the war in the Sinai, for example, then this would have taken much less time, but then again, that's precisely the purpose, to make it as hard on Israel as possible, even at the expense of their own civilians' suffering. With enough force and willingness to take casualties, any guerilla organization can be taken out. The ideology will remain, but the military force can be reduced to almost non-existent. Granted, as we've seen with WW2 even ideologies can be expunged if you're allowed to wage a total war, which alas, Israel is always prevented from doing, even by its so-called allies. The US and its allies have enough firepower to reduce Iran's and all its proxies' military capability to nothing more than small arms, RPGs and some smaller drones. The rest can be easily wiped out, if the political will was there. And it doesn't even require any boots on the ground. Taking out Iran's oil refineries alone, would cripple its economy, and presents a powerful bargaining chip, if only the US and its allies were willing to play the same game that their adversaries are. Iran's best weapon is the West's fear and hesitancy of getting into another war, because they have grown weary of overseas conflicts. As well as the West's internal divisions and lack of any strategic vision, both in Ukraine and the Middle East. And most likely vis-a-vis China too.

If you could, you would have. You can't. The Houthis have an extensive tunnel network which is immune to bombardment. Surface bombing is ineffective against an enemy that is entrenched in underground tunnels. Not only that, the Houthi have anti-air capability, so any airstrikes would not only be ineffective, but risk being shot down. The Houthis have been assisting the Palestinians in their struggle against genocide which is being carried out by Israel. Their demands are reasonable, let humanitarian aid into Gaza. America and its allies can not lift the Houthi blockade of the Red Sea.
